The thought that they'd weep tears of joy finishing one place ahead of a newly promoted team.

Guest You FCB Get Out Of Our Club
Apparently he's regularly plastered up in Ponteland like. Not getting kicked out but certainly rocking the bar stool! To be fair he does have an alcoholic complexion. I've heard of people first hand that he's always pissed in there, one neet his family had to get him out he was so pissed.
Guest You FCB Get Out Of Our Club
Here's one of many quotes from him "I have always been a Newcastle lad and when I was a kid, I crawled under the turnstiles to get in to try and save a bob or whatever it was. They were my team, I went to support them as a boy and being a Geordie it's in-bred, you follow the club still the same today." An impossibility from my memory of pre 93 turnstiles. That story is about as likely as Tony Blair's memories of sitting in the Gallowgate 25 year before any seats were put in. We'll never know what his song is now. Tbf, that Blair quote is an urban myth so Bruce is more of a fraud That song thing backfired like, as I hoped it would. Just a shame they nicked a draw at the end. I hope he keeps bigging up Henderson as well because I've never seen the lad do owt straight after Bruce has told us all about how good he is. Marko 0
tbh Bruce always says how good his team is not just Henderson, Their star strike force of Bent and Gyan yesterday were kept firmly in the back pockets of Coloccini and Williamson respectively. They're nowhere near as good as Bruce claims!

Like has been said on here, it's the whole mentality of that club! The two games they have played against this season have seen the fans saying how much they're going to dick us! If Bruce had any shred of dignity about himself he would have controlled himself before yesterdays game and not came out with twattish statements that made him look like a complete mug at full time. The whole away end chanting "Brucie where's your song" was brilliant and I bet it made his piss boil! so much so that he has to come out and say he wants to finish about a newly promoted side! Guest alex
I think our current set of players have, for whatever reason, a psychological edge over theirs at the minute. They shouldn't have really though, especially as they were at home, given we've just come up, the money they've spent, the league position and so on. Long may it continue

They shouldn't have really though, especially as they were at home, given we've just come up, the money they've spent, the league position and so on. Long may it continue I thought our best hope yesterday was that they were going to be too wound up and try too hard - maybe the latter has been a factor in the two games and that effort has just been channeled completely wrongly. Something must be up because their results in general suggest they do have a decent side.
ChezGiven 0
Steve Bruce: "I think it should have been eight or nine or 10 minutes injury time, to be honest. Every time Joey Barton got the ball - and I thought Joey Barton played very well - it was like leading the orchestra, wasn't it? He went down twice and the second time, he was on the deck for about 15 seconds.

But he had every right actually because if Webb actually had done anything against the persistent fouls of the Sunderland players the game would have been much more fluid. It's a shame that Sunderland in the end actually got a reward for the antics.

And it was making the most of fouls rather than diving for non-fouls. The two are totally different. His booking was an absolute joke as well. Well the booking, to me if he really believes he's intentionally tried to twat the guy with his elbow it's a red card. There's no middle ground with that type of thing. I hate Webb, haaaaaate, typical copper. I can't remember a ref I have more disdain for since Brian Coddington. NJS regarding your crack about Webb and that Fulham goal. It was nothing like the Boro goal, he was no near anyone else, it was a hallucination of a decision.
