Pardew wants two new faces...

He's told sky...

"I certainly need one but we are working on the idea that we can get two in.

"We had no Andy Carroll, no Shola Ameobi, our two top strikers, and we didn't retain the ball up top at all well.

"That was a problem for us. Fingers crossed that at least one of those, if not both of those, are back next week and that we add to the squad too.

So going from that and interest in Bentley and Larsson, he's looking at a striker and a right midfielder?

Probably the correct two positions to bring in more quality. I'd like a third though...maybe another loan move for a LB as cover?

Probably because your centre halves were playing long balls up to Peter Lovenkrands.

Match thread guys.

On topic though...Would you be happy with Seb Larsson and a striker? But who?

WTF?

Going on this I would think were in for seasons of long ball football.

How depressing. Thats what fucked us yesterday, throwing long ball after long ball to a midget in Best and Lovenkrands who didnt want to play.

Can't believe Pardew has let Kadar go to Huddersfield for a month on loan and he has already played 90 minutes at LEFT-BACK in a win.

If he's not going to play him it makes sense. It's only a month and Jose is over his virus.

I guess what puzzles me is why Lee Clark could see him in a left-back position but Pardew prefers to play Perch there when Jose is out.

Tis annoying. I was hoping that we'd have seen more of Kadar thus far. Enrique out was a good chance for him to play, so was the FA Cup match. Those couple of looks at Perch should have showed Pardew his value.
