Guest You FCB Get Out Of Our Club
SWP would dee me, he's got a lot more to give a team who would play him every week. Get him back to his 2003-2005 Man City form and that would be tremendous.
sniffer 0
Routledge was good for us in the second half of last season. Larsson would improve us. Exactly. Routledge is a championship player at best.
LeazesMag 0
Talking terms with Newcastle didn't seem a problem for the likes of routledge and perch. Unfortunately. One report said Larsson was only on 10K a week at Birmingham so you have to wonder what he was after. of course, 3rd rate players will find the wages attractive though. Third rate players found the mega wages previously on offer very attractive, unfortunately for us, whilst signing the same calibre now, we're calling a spade a spade. come back and spout that rubbish when we qualify for the Champions League again. LeazesMag 0
I suppose now that Woy has been sacked, their is no chance of getting shot of Routledge
OTF 7579
... or he should beat his man, and get his head up so that he can make a pass instead of putting in a blind cross. There's plenty of value in being able to beat a man even if you can't cross. Mentally it will make their players back off and will give us more time on the ball. Beat your man and make a short pass. It's defensively that I worry about Routledge, he seems to do quite a bit of running in defense but has no patience, diving in too often and is poor positionally. Larsson from the half that I watched reads the game a hell of a lot better and is good positionally in defense, not overcommitting himself in attack and picking up off the ball runs. I dont think I have ever seen him dive in. Didn't mean dive to the ground... Mean he's not patient doesn't jockey.
OTF 7579
Couldn't even crack it for a bench spot in the Birmingham derby now that Bentley has arrived. Wonder whether that's a sign that he'll go, or if they've shifted him out of sight out of mind till the end of January hoping that he signs a new deal with them. Interestingly Villa are now supposedly interested. Edited January 17, 2011 by OzToonFan

Christmas Tree 4858
Birmingham have rejected a transfer request from in-demand midfielder Sebastian Larsson, according to his agent, Per Johnson.Larsson only has six months remaining of his current contract and has failed to reach agreement over a new deal. He has attracted interest from Newcastle and Blackburn during the current transfer window. Johnson told the Birmingham Mail: "On Thursday, Seb gave in a transfer request and Peter Pannu (acting chairman) emailed us to say Birmingham would be making a new contract offer." He added: "The reason why the request was put in was as a protest at the way Seb has been treated. "We were told pre-season that the club wanted to sell him, then that they wanted to discuss a new contract which we basically agreed. "Then in December a new offer was made which was lower than the one we had verbally agreed so naturally we turned it down. "Then the manager (Alex McLeish) said he wanted to keep Seb for the rest of the season, then we got an email saying Birmingham had accepted an offer from Newcastle. "So, we had been in talks with Newcastle until this Wednesday when the plug was pulled again and Birmingham decided they wanted to keep Seb." Johnson added: "Birmingham have treated Seb like cattle. Going backwards and forward four times is not acceptable. "The club needs to sharpen up a bit and get a bit of class."

[/Mrs Doubtfire] If they had a verbal agreement with Brum, then surely that is binding?? Oh, sorry, they had 'basically agreed', so nothing was binding. Routledge was allowed to leave, as NUFC assumed Larsson was coming in???
