Deano 0
From the Beeb "It was turning into an abysmal afternoon for Newcastle and it deteriorated further when Tiote saw red for his challenge on Jon Ashton. Ugly scenes followed the challenge and Barton threw the ball against the head of an opposition player. " Reports are said player is now in a stable condition in intensive care, the fucking vegetarian soft cunts have got a major vendetta against Barton The beeb putting the barton bounce ball incedent and the chav right hook incident together and getting 6....I swear i hate the beeb. What exactly IS there problem with us?
Problem Child 0
Lets start from the top. This always was gonna be a case of fate adjusting the balance. We robbed them 13 years ago, now they've done us...the aim was to not let that happen. Pardew, and im a fan, got this wrong. He put out a very strong team but that wasnt enough to beat these. Although on paper we should of anhialated them. We got dragged down to League 2 football and lets be honest we were battered. Battered. They battered us. Battered. Never did we look like putting the foot on the ball and saying "We a from the premier league" Not once. Barton on the left...wrong...Routledge is quick and has a shite final ball so really made more sense letting him run with it down the left and letting Barton do what he's done well so far on the right. We never created anything, second to every second ball...panicked and got done. Credit to Stevenage though, they really outdone themselves tonight so fair play to them. Referee is a complete wanker...Tiotes tackle is one of the best iv seen in years and that really disabled us to push on but once again lets be honest...our shit play had let to us already being 2-0 down. Summary...we were shit...stevenage were good...pardew gpt it wrong and the players werent game....Fate took its course? Probably. Its over and done with...aye im pissed off but lets not dwell on this too much before them mackems...in fact lest take it out on the mackems and concetrate on finishing 7th. It was stupid. A red card was harsh, but a fraction of second later and the Stevenage player could easily have been looking for a new a career. After the huge fuss that was made about De Jong’s tackle (he got the ball too) on Ben Arfa any complaints about Titoe’s sending off are on weak ground. No doubt the hypocrisy on Nobs Online will be breathtaking. Either you've not played the game OR your talking shit... Im a CM and that there was a legendary tackle...he didnt go over the ball, wasnt two footed nor was it studs up....it looked reckless because the angle he went into the tackle but for the technique of tackling that was 100%. Nothing wrong in it at all. Your opinion is pish. Obviously not a very good one.
ToonMarshy 2
Just back from the pub and what an absolute embarrassing match that was! Pardew got everything wrong with that team selection! coming out and saying that "We want to win the FA cup and this is important for us" then starting smith and perch, is a complete contradiction in itself. Thing is, if he had played a youth based squad and wed got thumped, i wouldn't care half as much - its the fact he played the wrong 'big names' in the wrong positions, and made it appear as if we were actually out to win the match. Which based on the performance we gave, we obviously didn't want to win the match! Typical stupid goal for us to concede from the off, not really a lot that Krul could do about that one - but Perch, Smith, Routledge and Ranger shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football ever again. They were appalling! 2nd goal was well worked by them, but the fact they were even able to get to that stage shows the lack of care in the team tonight. The red card was never a red card in a million years, and the fact tiote was brought on is once again - puzzling. Smith needed bringing off if we were to get anything from the match, but risking tiote for suspension or injury was a retarded move to make! But hey, despite the fact any time we were in their half the ref blew the whistle to give them a free kick - i guess we shouldn't have been surprised when Tiote makes one of the cleanest and effective tackles ive seen in quite some time, and receives an instant red for it - absolute joke to pressure from an obnoxious and laughable support crowd. not even mentioning the barton incident after. After that we had no way back in, airey should have started along with any of the other youth players, and if things started to look bad and we actually wanted a result from this, then impact players should have been brought on in order to stabilise - the selection was all wrong. Krul was terrible for the 3rd goal, no idea what possessed him - but confidence has been heavily lacking in krul for the past couple of months now, and he showed tonight he is still suffering with whatever is effecting his performance. All in all im not gutted to be out the cup - surviving is a priority this season - but tired players, extra cards, low morale and suspensions inflicted on first team players during a cup tie they obviously had no interest in are NOT the way to improve our league standing - and on top of that we managed to lose to a fourth division team. Despite the fact many other premier teams crashed out today, it will be us in the news as the big first round scalp - and its going to be absolutely sickening

Seriously fella........that was a good tackle and i dont see how its otherwise. Perhaps at the level of football you play, or fifteen years ago in the professional game. Today though it was the kind of challenge that gives the referee the option of waving red. Personally I preferred the more robust version of the game but nowadays any lunge, no matter how well timed, is a potential red card. It was a stupid challenge; the best CM’s in the family friendly version of football don’t go to ground unless there’s is no other option. They anticipate and think. They weigh up the pros and cons and make intelligent decisions. In this instance they probably would have looked to cover the space the lad was running into, not jump in with all guns blazing. Tiote is a hothead, as his booking per game ratio shows. Good player, but it was only a matter of time before he got sent off.
Kitman 2207
This is a seriously piss poor result. Didn't see the game but when you lose to lower league opposition it's usually because you don't match them for effort and commitment. Reading the match report on the beeb it wasn't bad luck on our part, they outplayed us.
shackbleep 0
Can't believe that some of you seriously believe the red card will be over-turned. It was a marginal decision, not a blatently wrong one. It'll stand up and we're now without him for not only the match against the Mackems, but also the home match against Spurs and the away game at Fulham. All crucial games. As for the clever shite who decided to use his fists against the Stevenage player, we (the club) can look forward to some serious action from the FA and rightly so. What an absolute fucking dickhead. OTF 7297
It won't be rescinded and appealing it could result in a further ban. It was a cracking tackle, well timed etc. All said and done though it wasn't a good decision to make it particularly with that cunt of a ref, at an away game where the crowd are going to have their influence. Technically it should be rescinded if you look at the video footage of it, but the FA are useless cowards.
Deano 0
What position do you play then? Goalkeeper? First bold....Dont patronise me...football is football whatever the level... Second bold...Aye i agree in essence...the modern game or should i say the modern governing body doesnt like these decisions because they are just that...decisions...and hard ones at that. But this is something that should be addressed. Any self respecting FOOTBALL fan knows how the game used to be played, how it still SHOULD be played and that THAT was a perfect tackle! Third bold...You backtracking and agreeing with me then? With respect, your opinion of a modern CM dropping off into the space, reading the game differently is also pish....when your 2 foot from a guy and have the chance to win the ball...you win the ball...simples. I really cant see where your coming from here....i like you are a newcastle fan but come on mate....look at it again...and again...and again until your brain clicks and you see that your actually talking shite.......want bet that the red card is recinded???? To be fair you’re the one who seems to think playing CM for some pub team / non league team makes you Helenio Herrera, which is as patronising as it misguided. A bet? OK, if Tiote’s red card is rescinded I’ll close my account on here. If it’s not you close yours. And you call the shots how? Lets make it monetry...£20? So serious ma'man so serious its laughable. Christmas Tree 4729
Just got in from the pub and havent read the thread. 1. They easily deserved the win. 2. The red card should be rescinded. 3. Nile Ranger shouldnt be anywhere near the first team. Hey Ho, broad shoulders and move on.
