Guest alex
Oh, is Best good now all of a sudden? No, that's not what I'm saying. Even before Wednesday I thought he was probably better than he'd looked for us though, especially last season. As you'd expect him to do be able to do a half-decent job, especially as we were the best side in that division. I do think, bearing that in mind, that he would've been too much for a team like Stevenage to handle, especially with his confidence high after playing well and scoring 3 goals recently. And if he starts getting a few goals he could perhaps be sold on for a decent price to a championship / newly promoted side, or perhaps even provide decent cover as a 4th choice striker here next season. Park Life 71
I took some mescaline and went and asked a squirrel what he thought of Leon Best but I'm not really sure he knew who I was talking about and he just nodded politely. That squirrel is the nuts.
Phil 6
He's at the top of the pile of shit forwards (Shola, McLoven and Best), but we really need to get rid of them all. I still think Xisco hasn't been given a chance.

I still think Xisco hasn't been given a chance. You have to think there's a reason for that, given there's a few different managers who've now passed over the lad. I don't buy into the triggering of the payment clause theory either since not playing him purely because of that is just pouring money down the drain anyway, i.e. wages, resale value etc. Perhaps he's just shite and/or has a shocking attitude. David Kelly 1309
Every time I've seen him I've thought he was shite and out of his depth. Obviously I was wrong based on last night. I'm not about to start saying he's solved our 2nd striker problem, but I am now interested in seeing more of him. See how he does against a half decent side. Certainly done no harm one way or another. I've been surprised he jumped ahead of Ranger. Though maybe after last night I can see why. This tbh. Although I did think early on he looked a bit promising but just trying too hard and that never helps a player. Will be a shame if he's out tomorrow after wednesday as it would be a real oppertunity for him to build some confidence.

Absolutely, if every manager won't play him, he's either crap in training, has a shit attitude, or is toilet in general.

When he was signed the club said it was for 5.6m rising to 7m, so there are certainly addons. Not sure if thats a factor in him being outcast. I know Hughton gave up on him after his sending off in the reserves, so it's obvious his attitude is a big factor. I don't blame him for having a chip on his shoulder, he's hardly been welcomed. Guest
FWIW, I think that Best will return to being his normal gash self from now and all these daft cunts talking about partnering Carroll will realise what an embarrassment they are.
