It baffles me how a player who's made just 4 appearances for us is being held in such high regard. He's 19 year old. Shown very little so far to throw him into a derby.

You must be off ya fucking melt.

Cos we havent got anyone else. Who would you play there?

Jonas hasn't actually been ruled out yet, btw. I'd play him.

Agreed, for all his faults he can carry the ball and relieve some of the pressure on the defence.

He may get loads of abuse from our fans but he's far and away the best left sided player we have and if he's got half a chance of being fit for sunday I'd like to see him play. Enrique's game will be hindered imo with Ferguson in front of him.

I think we are lost in translation.

''shown very little'' would generally imply a player doesn't look promising.

I knew what you meant mate I was just being a pedantic mug.

I think he'll make a good player, just meant he hasn't shown us alot to go on yet (as he's barely played).

They're unsure still. I reckon we'll be doing all we can to get him fit.

Tiote appeal rejected.

FA CUNTS

Its not looking good at the moment.

Enrique - ill (hopefully be ok)

Tiote - out

Big AC - Possibly out

Jonas - Possibly out

The Mackem Destroyer - Possibly out

Their situation is looking just as bleak, if not worse.

Anton Ferdinand may be a winner on the pitch but he was the clear loser during a costly casino visit.

The Sunderland defender, 25, stormed out of the club after blowing £6,000 on roulette in less than five minutes.

He placed £2,000 cash on red in three spins of the wheel – but each time the ball hit black.

Sunderland fan Simon Cook, 28, who was playing next to him, revealed: “He was so angry. He did not say a word when he placed the two grand in cash each time, just rolled his eyes when it kept coming back on black. Then after losing six grand he stormed straight out of the casino. He was in for less than five minutes.

“Times are hard and I don’t know what the fans will make of gambling that much. I suppose it’s like us betting £20.

“But it was a big loss, and in double quick time.”

Ferdinand, who is brother of Manchester United and England captain Rio, lost the cash at nightclub Aspers, a celebrity hangout in Newcastle city centre open 24 hours a day.

On Saturday, the Mirror told how Newcastle United star Andy Carroll, 22, fell from a bar stool there in the early hours of December 30 clutching his injured leg.

He had just ordered 30 Jagerbombs, a mix of spirit Jagermeister and Red Bull energy drink, for himself and 15 pals.

Ex-West Ham star Ferdinand, who earns around £40,000-a-week, was banned from driving for six months in October after he was convicted of using a mobile while at the wheel of his car.

He had 12 points on his licence from a previous offence and was fined £1,000. Ferdinand and Sunderland FC declined to comment last night.

Smith for Tiote (along with Perch for Jose) makes my sphincter twitch more than anything.

Bit daft ordering 30 when there's 16 of them tbh.

Might be fit, is what the article says.

I think Enrique will play in this match and I think Pardew will go 4-5-1 to stop an onslaught of Sunderland pressure with no Tiote

Simpson Willo Colo Enrique

Routaledge (Or Larsson) Barton Smith Guti

Nolan

Carroll

Unfortunately, I think he might opt for Smith in midfield to battle it out with Cattermole and hopefully nulify his effect! You can also bet that Pardew will be looking for free kicks so he can ping the ball in to you box. Expect Guti to turn from Spiderman to Superman with him diving through the air in the superman pose!
