wykikitoon 20803
Classy Statement from Hodgson - Feel for the guy. It basically says "The players were a bunch of cunts who wouldnt listen to me" "Being asked to manage Liverpool Football Club was a great privilege. Any manager would be honoured to manage a club with such an incredible history, such embedded tradition and such an amazing set of fans. Liverpool is one of the great clubs in world football. I have, however, found the last few months some of the most challenging of my career. I am very sad not to have been able to put my stamp on the squad, to be given the time to bring new players into the club in this transfer window and to have been able to be part of the rebuilding process at Liverpool. The club has some great, world-class players, with whom it has been a pleasure to work and I wish the entire squad well for the rest of the season. I thank those with whom I have built up a close working relationship at the club for their loyalty and support during very testing times, and finally of course to the Liverpool fans, your passion and dedication to the club will see Liverpool at the top of the game once more." Gemmill 46093
Disappointing, they might turn it around now. Doubt it. Dalglish might mean something to the fans, but I bet there aren't many of the foreign players that give a shite about his Liverpool past. If they're gonna turn it round it'll need to be through Dalglish being a better manager/coach than Hodgson in the modern game, which I really doubt he is. ToonMarshy 2
And heres the part where all the scousers celebrate Hodgson leaving, then Dalglish leads them straight down the table because it wasnt so much the manager, as a squad relying on aging relic players - and Johnson, who is just shite. Then Allardyce takes over at the end of the season, and the truly become the most boring team in the premier league
TheMoog 0
Hope KD crashes and burns, but the scousers are spawny enough to do ok Is the sorry truth of it. Funny how we got ridiculed for being excited about Keegan coming back and all the piss-taking that came with that but nothing is said about Dalglish being out of the game for ages and returning. Would love to see a banner asking them if their next messiah is going to be Les fucking Dennis, cunts.

John Henry said: "We are grateful for Roy's efforts over the past six months, but both parties thought it in the best interests of the club that he stand down from his position as team manager." Reporting it to the media and the outside world as a mutual agreement is a much more dignified way to present it than coming out all guns blazing and keeps the decision alot less low key. Guest alex
That dickhead Lee Ryder reckons he turned us down because he wanted a managerial position. Not what I've heard. Obvious it was a money thing given he was still getting more money off West Ham than we were paying Hughton. I doubt there was ever a serious approach made (in terms of money offered) since we already had Pardew lined up to take over from Hughton anyway. Good move for Liverpool though I reckon. Although it won't make the squad any less ordinary.
