Park Life 71
The signing of Bafra might be a rubicon moment for the regime. What are the expectations for the rest of the window?
ChezGiven 0
One more signing. Probably Bentley but hopefully Keane and no-one to leave.
peasepud 59
Tw big names going out and about three more players coming in either as part of the sale of aforementioned players or as loan deals/ cheap imports from lower leagues.

Nice Parky lad. I am please with Barfa, but he must need his head testing. I wouldnt mind Bentley, but no way Keane, past it IMO, we dont want other teams cast offs, we have our own with Shola. I want Ranger to get a start, was dissapointed to see he didnt start v Wigan with the way he changed the game v Liverpool, although not seen much footy since then. Jusoda Kid 1
I reckon its rangers attitude in training thats holding him back. I have no expectations as I don't want to feeel let down like every other window since the the fat rapist took over.
Christmas Tree 4676
Quietly Confident that we will be better at the end of it than we were going in. My main concern is Barton. As contract needs renewing and nothings being done yet, he's vulnerable.

Nah think he was the second, but he did make a point of waiting till everyone else had come back and then walked over slowly and threw it in Edited January 5, 2011 by sandman02uk

Could be a sign................................................. Nar. Tiote came over to us first and threw his. I distinctly remember because my mate said 'Fuckin hell, he's black as out' then realised he had a tight breathable top on underneath his shirt. Taylor came over and gave it the two fisted pump but the rest of them just took off down the tunnell. Edited January 5, 2011 by Mac-Toon
Dr Gloom 21768
i'd like to think that the ben arfa is a sign of things to come and we reinforce the squad rather then letting any first team players go. previous windows suggest this probably won't be the case but there's no time like the present for ashley to prove us wrong and show us he has some level of ambition. i've got fingers and toes crossed. Guest alex
Think we might get Bentley on loan with no one going out. That's about it tbh. I'd love another striker coming in with a bit of pace.

That's basically ideal position imo. Here he can dictate play and take potshots at his want. And of course set up chances. What to do with Nolan? Nyff 0
If we bring in Bentley and get him playing to his best again then we are in a really strong position for the rest of this season and for the start of next season. Would love to see Bentley sign and for us to get another decent striker in to play off Carroll, or even someone who can get goals should Carroll get injured again. Really really want Shola to be sold but can't see it happening, and sometime before the start of next season (jumping the gun a bit, I know) I would like a big clear out with the likes of Perch, Lovenkrands, Raylor e.t.c shipped out, and a couple of decent back ups for CB/RB (or get Staylor playing well at RB). So yeah, just Bentley and another ST would be the dream. Can only really see one more signing, but would probably be content with just Ben Arfa right now. Shola's the 2nd best striker at the club tbh. I know he's not very good (that's me being polite) but I'd rather see Best, Xisco and Lovenkrands shipped out first because they're all inferior. Phil 6
I thought we'd try and pick up a few of the Championship players, so was a little disappointed to see Fryatt go to Hull. Nicky Maynard has been injured so I doubt he's on the clubs radar and I can't think of another striker with pace in that league. I'd be very surprised if we got Bentley, so that would be a massive bonus. Even though we badly need a striker with pace, I'd gladly settle for Bentley as the only signing. Luis Suarez, Bentley and van Aanholt would be an idea window. Edited January 5, 2011 by Phil

Best was hilarious against wigan. pub player tbh. for some reason (and against all better instinct) i still think lovenkrands will do a job for us. probably because of his speed over the ground. though even thats fading now.... I reckon we need 2 different forwards. one more mobile, one more skilful or target man like.
Nyff 0
Don't know why Xisco isn't given a chance. He did more than Best vs. Wigan did when he came on against Villa. Edited January 5, 2011 by Nyff
