Iain Bogie was hailed as the "new Gazza".....until he played v Everton at Goodison in August 1988,first game of the season ;)

I used to work with Ian & when we had the weekly 6-a-side game, he was more like Pele, though I think that says an awful lot about the standard of the rest of us....

Cracking interview with him here.

Again, I think gazza did that cos he thought he was looking in a mirror, not because Chris Holland was the greates young talent of a generation.

Had the look of Rooney about him too.

I dont really remember that much about him, just the tag I had in my head when trying to remember who this promising kid was that got blinded. Quite amazing that the he went on to have a full career with only 20% vision. Sounds a canny bloke who hasnt let it ruin his life.

Tiffany's for our generation; don't think it had been the Oxford since the early 70s..

They should've left it as the Oxford, its' names have got progressively worse to the point its' now called Ikon.

There used to be a pair of blinding old school pubs across the road in The Portland & Burton House; sadly both pulled down to make way for the widening of John dobson Street

Macheda's scores.

Amalfitano's fault, we had committed plenty of men forward and he lost the ball in the middle of the park by dallying on it so they hit us on the break. Not sure if the keeper could do better though. (Not sure if it's Alnwick or not)
