well look at it this way - at the current exchange rate that's only around A$ 450 a day - say A$ 200 for the hotel, a slapup meal every night for him and his lass at $ 150, a tour or two, bit of shopping.................. taxi to/from the airport

£2200 on 2 return flights, £800 spends. Would have been more if my sister hadn't put us up. Worth it though, just booked to go to NYC for 5 days and Florida for 10days in May.

 

Wedding is paid off, own a house and 2 cars so we've got nowt else to spend our cash on other than holidays.

When I first read your post I didn't think you had included airfare tickets in your sum. I thought you may have spent a week in a penthouse at the ANA or other things extravagant.
