One of the perils of not googling. :jesuswept:

You insuate I google, I don't google. The only time I've googled a question was that Amsterdam Olympics 1928 question when I was live on Talksport.

None of the above mentioned.

Played for Everton and took over the reigns in a caretaker capacity after Joe Royle left.

Joe Royle left in 97. Gary Stevens?

Aye Joe Royle left in April 97. He was in place from the April til June before (Howard Kendall iirc) took owa.

His initials are the same as the JJB gyms have changed there name to. If that makes any sense

Am sure it was Hong Kong and not Singapore.

They played a Hong Kong XI I thought as well although they might've played Singapore on the same warm-up tour I suppose.

Who is the only person to captain England and manage a team in a European Cup Final?

Venables?

Revie?

Well I don't think it is 'El Tel' as I don't think he captained England (played at all levels for them though - another quiz question). I didn't know Revie had played for England either.

Wasn't Saunders re: the Villa one. He left the club during the season they got to the final. The caretaker wasn't famous though so I doubt he was an ex-England captain. Can't remember his name. Perhaps it's someone who managed a foreign team.
