TicTacWoe 0
Has died at the age of 69 after a long battle with MS Quite liked a bit of Beefheart myself although I can understand him not being everyone's cup of tea. Any other fans on here?
Monkeys Fist 43600
Bit of a Zappa fan here, heard some of his stuff, but by no means all. True renegade, artist, mentalist. RIP
Mac-Toon 1
A wizard on both the sax and harmonica. An aquired taste, I think. Legend in his own right.

Tom 14021
R.I.P I'm a big fan and my Dad was a big fan too. Some pretty mental listening! Safe as Milk being my favourite. His paintings/sculptures are also pretty mad, it's sad because at the peak of his career mainstream America saw him as a freak and didn't really give his work much credence. The guy was a genius, even when he was a millionaire he was living by himself in a caravan in the desert!
Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
I wasn't aware he ever made a million, though I've heard the stories about the band struggling to afford their meals for prolonged periods. Apparantly the Captain was fond of crossbows That's one way to win an argument I guess. I need to give Safe as Milk a listen, if only for Ry Cooder. Monkeys Fist 43600
Grown So Ugly Love the Black Keys version, had no idea Beefheart did it first.
Tom 14021
Beefhearts was still a cover but it's a very old song. Both the black keys are massive Beefheart fans like and they often whack a beefheart song into the set. He nails the voice like.
