I've only just yesterday done mine. Got a bracket but had to add some wood behind the wall for support as I had a 50mm gap. I just went for the bracket that the shop recommended for that TV. But it was a right fuck on. the bracket I got is suitable for a number of fixing types so its comes in loads of bits and you dont need a lot of them. My wall is dot and dab so Ive ran the cables through the wall and added a new socket near the plugs etc. TV Package I went for Bracket I bought Oh, DONT buy HDMI leads from a shop. they will fill you full of shite. There are two types of HDMI only. Standard and High Speed. You need need gold plugs and dont need anything special for HD etc. Just high speed HDMI. So long as you get that you're fine. The wall I wanted to attach it to wasn't strong enough to hold the bracket (or so it seemed) so I attached it with spring clips to hold against the inside of the wall. I cant give any recommendations on which particular bracket to use, mate but I'd definitely advise using spring clips for extra safety to stop your TV falling off the wall mid babestation. Personally for the bracket, I just went into Fenwicks in town and asked the duck eggs in there for their advice. Tip - Don't try and do it all yourself, you'll definitely need a helper for lifting the tele onto the bracket and if you're anything like me, to make sure the bracket is attached effectively. In summary, it's a right fuck on but once it's done you'll be living the dream. Great when you've got kids as it stops them getting their manky paws on it. Cheers though Chimney breast :lol: I live in Wallsend mate, it's strictly electric made to look like an actual fire. It's on the wall between my house and my next door neighbours. Christmas Tree 4920 Posted December 15, 2010 Share Posted December 15, 2010 Big monster of a man did mine a few months back and literally clung on and hung from the bracket to show me how good it was. I was shitting myself thinking the wall was going to come down. Best bit of advice I would give is dont go too high. Just like all those ergomomics with pc's etc you still really want your tv watchable from the sofa with a straight head / neck. If I stand next to mine (im 5'10) the top of the tv is at shoulder level. Best thing we did, no mess etc. I also used a palstic tube behind the plaster with a hole at each end to allow for future wiring to be added, changed etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
