peasepud 59 Posted December 11, 2010 Share Posted December 11, 2010 Its been questioned by a number of journalists I think, as they pointed out the fact his odds suddenly dropped in the space of an hour when there were no rumours or anything to hint at it meant someone was putting large amounts on him which then created a snowball effect with the bookies laying off their bets. Â Its just as likely there is no debt and the length of contract is something that they agreed on as Pardew, due to his close relationship, is well aware that Ashley wants to sell if he finds a buyer. The length of the contract is so bizarre, it must be based on knowledge that the ownership could change very quickly (i.e. not soon from now but as soon as someone is willing to pay the price he wants).
