Think something like that is true alex, where we used to live in Whitley the son next door (fat cunt, 40s, stupid cunt) was on the dole and me mother reckoned he got extra money off the dole for it. Parents eventually moved out as there was radgies, alkies and all sorts hanging out in the back lane drinking all day. Pissed me right off as our family had been in that house since the early 50s.

I knew alkies got extra money. j69 0 Steve 3 today like. Just as well it's injury time now.

:D

£5pw extra in Scotland. Nothing in England. £100 a week for booze man :D You're thicker than that gut of yours

I'm thick, yet I'm the one thinking a footballer would call Avram Grant a jewish cunt on twitter. :D pmsl ahahahaha there needs to be a word very similar to doilum but like a doilum times ten to fully describe your crack.

It used to be about £80 a fortnight or something as Chez said.

Really strong source there J69 :D fucking hell

Well find me an official source to the contrary :D

I couldn't find one anywhere, probably because it doesn't exist.

People are probably getting mixed up with alcoholics claiming incapacity benefits on top of their dole

So we've gone from £100 a week to £40 a week. And still only Chez mam as proof? :D

Up to 240 people in each borough have claimed either incapacity benefit or severe disablement allowance due to drink dependency. Each could be picking up between £51 and £84-a-week in state handouts funded by taxpayers.

As I said. :D

Incapacity benefit is not alcoholics being given money to fund their habit

Its incapacity benefit - if you're an alcoholic its the same as claiming you cant work because of a back problem etc. It could well be quite high as it will be based on previous work and contributions to the system i would guess.

Am surprised we dont have more expertise on this matter tbh.

I've heard people on saying if you're a registered alcoholic the dole give you an extra £100 a week for drink.

Oh aye spot on Stevie :D

Incapacity benefit isn't some new fangled drunks allowance. I think the Sun might have had a front page headline by now if drunks got paid extra purely to buy more drink.

Scottwilsonecho Scott Wilson

Santon to be confirmed at #NUFC any time now - expect five-year deal. Rob Elliot should also go through today. Maiga still likeliest striker

I'll drink to that!
