Monroe Transfer 0
I know, I know. But someone had to. http://twitter.com/jasonburt_tele Hearing from a good source that Martin Jol is likely to take over at Newcastle but he's definitely not the only candidate. If there's any truth in this and it ever comes to fruition, it would go some way to repairing a very sorry situation.

Dr Gloom 22188
we'd be lucky. why would he take the job when there's clearly no funds available? more likely to be carlton palmer with gazza as his number
Asprilla 96
Way better than Pardew but I'd still rather have Hughton back. *weeps*

Kid Dynamite 7189
Way better than Pardew but I'd still rather have Hughton back. *weeps* How fickle are we I think this is the general consensus. MA blatantly put the Pardew rumour out there so that Jol ends up looking like Mourinho!

MA blatantly put the Pardew rumour out there so that Jol ends up looking like Mourinho! Like Alex said, it's still fucking daft. 90% of what we have is players busting a gut for Hughton. It's a shit squad without the graft he's able to get out of them. Edited December 6, 2010 by Happy Face

Monroe Transfer 0
I do wonder how Jol feels about Hughton being treated so badly. If he's a friend would he stand for that?
Tom 14020
danroan Source close to Ashley tells me he'd be "surprised" if Jol was new NU boss-doesn't mean not contender-but he'd want way more £ than Hughton
acrossthepond 878
This wouldn't nullify my outrage at the treatment of Hughton, but he ticks all the boxes and tbh he's a class manager. I wouldn't say no.

I'm never sure of a manager if he is too well liked by the players. I understand it's CH's nature and that is fine and he clearly is an hounourable man etc...
