Can you just imagine the points or win % of anyone who would accept the managers job here now or that the fat cunt would think it was a good idea to appoint?

I can only envisage it falling lower and lower. For the time being we're better off with Pardew, despite how useless he is!

I honestly honestly don't want to be contrary for the sake of it but laying all the blame at Ashleys door papers over a lot of stuff this season.

(And yes he does deserve criticism for squad weaknesses etc)

But not his fault that Cisse can't hit a barn door or that Remy gets sent off or that Ben Arfa has had two decent games all season or that Sisokko seems a shadow of that famous chelsea performance or that Santon can't defend.

The above paragraph is responsible for many dropped points this season and had they not been dropped we would be in a very strong position.

11 wins 11 losses

Pure Jekyll and hide stuff.

Alan Pardew read the riot act to his players after their 4-0 hammering at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.

The Chronicle understands Pardew told his players in no uncertain terms their performance had dipped well below the required standard which wearing the Newcastle United shirt demanded.

The Toon manager had made a big play before the game about “doing it for the fans” and even wore a scarf from the club shop on the sidelines during the Spurs game.

After the gutless performance against the Londoners it is little wonder Pardew let rip on some of his players.

Sources close to the players say that, in a loud exchange with his troops, Pardew:

Lambasted both Sylvain Marveaux and Hatem Ben Arfa for poor performances after coming on as subs;

Considered subbing Davide Santon in the first half with Paul Dummett continually warming up in the first period before he hooked the Italian at the break;

Told players their day off on Saturday had been cancelled, to the fury of some players who had already made plans;

Suggested some of his players don’t care enough to wear the black-and-white shirt.

Fan fury was also compounded by TV images of skipper Moussa Sissoko smiling with Tottenham players at the final whistle, while Santon is also understood to have made an early exit from St James’ Park after being hauled off.

A source told the Chronicle: “The manager was loud and clear in that he was not happy with things.

“He said after the game a day off on Saturday was cancelled. Some of the players were far from happy.

“It is obvious Newcastle are missing Yohan Cabaye.

“He helped the manager restore some order and that has been a big miss.”

Newcastle slumped to their worst home run of league results in decades, equalling pitiful sequences of home defeats in both 1987 and 1978 when they lost four in a row – while four straight home defeats in the Premier League is also a first in the revamped top flight.

The Magpies have even topped that, however, with their FA Cup defeat by Cardiff City stretching the sorry streak to five successive home losses.

Pardew now has just eight days to end Newcastle’s shocking run of just one win in nine games and no goals since Cabaye left for Paris Saint-Germain last month.

However, there could be some light at the end of the tunnel in time for the encounter with Aston Villa on Sunday week.

Skipper Fabricio Coloccini hopes to be back, while top scorer Loic Remy is also free from suspension.

Cheick Tiote is also hoping to have recovered from a hamstring problem.

We have players who came here and probably signed the contract that means they won't have to work again .Many players these days couldn't give a fuck about pride in wearing the shirt,pride in playing in front of 50,000 fans,pride in putting in a performance in front of travelling fans.Pardew needs to either shift the wasters/piss takers in the summer of shift himself.

By letting Cabaye go and bringing in one loan signing,the players are showing the same ambition and effort as the club.

Hold on, criticism? But we have the best squad we've had in a decade?

What about the plan that's been in place for the last few years that now has the best squad for the best part of a decade? Want want want you ungrateful fellow!!!

Contrary? You?

Putting aside that obviously we would be better with a better squad and better manager, It's not quite that black and white though.

That manager and team got us 5th. The football people within the club advised Ashley to buy Sisokko, Ben Arfa, Remy, Cisse, Santon etc.

What's not Ashleys fault is the above players have all had a part in a poor season for different reasons.

Had they delivered on the pitch then we would certainly have more points than we have today, certainly be a kick in the teeth of Champion league places and the overall outlook would be so different.
