Monroe Transfer 0
Look at someone like Cabaye. Denied a dream move to Arsenal last year, told he's going nowhere unless the club get £25 million, playing a shit role in a shit team for a shit manager and faced with the prospect of doing it all again next season. Says who?

Christmas Tree 4851
Yet Remy has looked class for QPR which is totally against your point. Not at all. I'm simply talking about the clause being there. Do you honestly think that Mrs Cabaye hasn't discussed the relegation clause with Mr Cabaye or his agent over recent weeks? I'm not saying Cabaye is doing it, I'm just saying that these days, with those clauses, I think it's highly possible that it could creep in to a players mind. Dr Gloom 22185
Need a draw or a win to be totally safe. Not confident of. Picking up more than one point from our remaining three tbh. Squeaky bum time. Got to hope villa and Wigan are even shitter than us.

Kid Dynamite 7182
No, by getting relegated he may well have a clause allowing him to go for a lot less. And you wonder why people think you are a cunt. You must have been gutted this place went down last night. I noticed you were the first one to post today. Furiously refreshing your screen to get the WUM wagon in full flow today

On the other hand, the club is likely to have wage reduction clauses in the event of relegation so those who don't get a move will be taking a big pay cut. Asprilla 96
Does the fact that Wigan and Vila need to play each other save our skins? I can't work it out but I would think that it means that one of them will miss the points target.

Best way to do it is take that game out of your sums altogether, imagine they both have 3 games left...9 points...they can still both overtake us and afford to lose that last one...or even just to match us on points and relegate us on goal difference. If you are that unstable that discussing whether a relegation clause effects a players performance, effects you so badly either take a break from the Internet or put me on ignore. But all this stalking and name calling is just childish man. Edited April 28, 2013 by Christmas Tree

I can't work it out but I would think that it means that one of them will miss the points target. I think it helps massively. Just like the advantage we have had in goal difference. Wigan visit West Brom (1) Home v Swans (3) Arsenal Away (0) Villa home (3) so I think they will finish on 41 points. Villa have Away Norwich (1) Home v Chelsea (0) Wigan away (0) So one more point has them on 35 and down imo. Lets say Villa beat Norwich though thats them on 37, the same as us. GD is in our favour but its only a few goals now. This in mind, I think we need 1 point or 4 to be sure. At the moment I cant see where that comes from so we need to hope Villa (more likely to go down imo) dont pick up points. Edit : If Villa beat Wigan as well they could be on 40 points but Wigan could then be on 38, again one more than we have now and their current GD is the same meaning 1pt for us might not be enough. All too fucking close for my liking.

Dr Gloom 22185
The thing that troubles me most is the spirit has gone. For all you want to say about the negative tactics he often employs, the biggest concern is there doesn't seem to be any fight left in the dog. It was one of his best assets prior to this season - he had the team organised and their heads didn't drop after boing a few goals down. that Arsenal 4-4 game wasn't too long ago. That's why I'm genuinely worried about relegation. And if we drop, Pardew has to go.

All too fucking close for my liking. They both have a few points to make up but after watching us yesterday I would say we have a strong chance of going down. We've collapsed spectacularly. West Brom was a good result - I could understand aspects of the derby performance but yesterday was crazy. At half time I said they'd get 5 - it could have been 8 & it stems from setting up to play on the counter attack. Chasing the game we were bound to concede further - the exact same thing happened against Sunderland - going gung ho when we perhaps should have had a better start. I've been defending him all season but I can't defend the indefensible.
