Andrew 4856
When Mike Ashley sacked Sam Allardyce he had played 2 less games and won 2 more. wasnt ashleys appointment though, he was on borrowed time from the start
PaddockLad 17642
wasnt ashleys appointment though, he was on borrowed time from the start he wouldnt have been if he hadnt let Derby fuckin county take 4 points off us. I think Pardew is toast without 3 points at Villa. I'm trying to think of a manager on a similar run who had the dubious pleasure of taking his club down at the end of the season....doesnt happen nowadays. Bictor 0
And we finished 5th last season. That should give Pardew a little more time than other managers would get with Ashley.
PaddockLad 17642
Theres oodles of extra cash on the table in the premier league next season.....Mike could be just about even on his outlay with that extra 60mill(?)....
Christmas Tree 4821
Think he'll get Vill and see the window out then Salut. Be amazed if they didn't currently have someone drawing up a list of replacements.
ChezGiven 0
If they stick to their guns over the transfer / financial model, they will stick to their guns on the long term manager imo. Whoever said he will be managing us in the championship had it spot on
hostile_statue 0
Steve McClaren's win % has never dropped as low as Pardews has in 12/13. http://en.wikipedia....rial_statistics Yes it has, 29% at Wolfsburg and 23% at Forest.
Happy Face 29
Yes it has, 29% at Wolfsburg and 23% at Forest. Pardew is 21% for WIINS this season. I ordered on points % above so may have contributed to some confusion.

Anorthernsoul 1221
It does beg the question that if we had a better tactician at management level, would we be successful? At the minute we look fruitless tactically.
Christmas Tree 4821
There's no doubting a better manager would get better results, the problem is whether the board would pay for one or could find one. Surely though Pardew must now see the light and step back from negative tactics. Must be on Wonga time.

What is it about the purchase of 3 defenders and the sale of our most prolific striker during this window that gives you this impression?
