LeazesMag 0
Edit. You're a broken record on the chat forum too, posting nowt but anti US political bollocks a lot of us don't give a shite about. So fuck off again. I'm off out later though. You can sit in cyberspace instead if you prefer. Did you post your other 11,600 odd posts somewhere other than cyberspace like? only half as many as you HF. Go and read your leftie loonie rubbish now, if you've nowt better to do. This horror show is far too entertaining for that. I love nowt more than a septuagenarian cyber warrior who's saddest lament is that he's banned off another site kicking off and calling other people childish. Happy Face 29
Dunno if these quotes have been posted from the ugly cow, an old article but i've not seen them anywhere.... On the eve of Pardew's arrival a reliable Newcastle source said: "There will be no £1.5m signing-on fee and no compensation clause in the new manager's contract. He will not be handed a contract which will reward him for failure. He will be handsomely rewarded if he succeeds but not if he fails." ... Alan Pardew's contract at Newcastle, running to 2016, is believed to be worth £450,000 a year, plus generous success bonuses £8650 a week basic. Have we still got the lowest paid premier league manager? Edited December 13, 2010 by Happy Face

Happy Face 29
Sounds good on paper but in reality it smacks of someone desperate for a job. Aye. Confirms my suspicions. Ashley makes decisions based entirely on what the cheapest option is.... Current going rate is around £3 million for a top Premier League manager though your smaller clubs and recently promoted ex Championship ones can often be found paying circa £1 million or less for their managers. Arsene Wenger Arsenal £6 million Carlo Ancelotti Chelsea £6 million Alex Ferguson Manchester United £3 million Roberto Mancini Manchester City £3 million Roy Hodgson Liverpool £3 million David Moyes Everton £3 million Alex McLeish Birmingham £2 million Sam Allardyce Blackburn £2 million Avram Grant West Ham £1.3 million Chris Hughton Newcastle £250k http://www.trophy4toon.co.uk/salaries.html I imagine Hughton would have been looking for a contract to give him parity with other non-european qualifying managers in the league. So bringing in Pardew has saved Ashley at least half a million. Edited December 13, 2010 by Happy Face

Even if we are relegated, he'll stay in the job, cos those are championship rates he's on.
Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
Maybe Chris won't be too devastated, he doesn't have to deal with those two cunts any longer, and he'll be in line for a pay-rise with his next job; be it a championship or premier league post. Actually said similar a while back before he got the push, i.e. perhaps he's not too bothered about not getting a contract extension, since his stock had risen since taking over here and he'd never really been out of a job anyway so it was always likely he'd be picked up by another club. Guest alex
How the hell is SAF on the same wages as David Moyes? Assume it's basic wage like. In Ferguson's case, success-related bonuses could be very lucrative but he only gets them if he hits those targets so everyone's a winner.

Trapesing round casino's in the toon with Ashley especially the one I go in, pleased I didn't see them at 2am anyway. However, his crack on radio tonight was superb, "you concerned about the impending Arsenal game Alan" - "NO!!! We're Newcastle, we should NEVER be scared of anyone." Well said that man. GafferTape 0
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...assurances.html Pardew said that settling the £20 million-rated Carroll's future was one of his priorities before he agreed to take over the reins at St James' Park and that he would do his utmost to make sure that the Gateshead-born player, 21, remained at the club he supported as a boy. "Andy Carroll's future was one of the items at the top of my agenda," Pardew said. "He needs to stay. He is the No 9 of Newcastle. He is someone the fans have bought into. "As long as I am here I will be doing everything I can to make sure he stays. In the short term he is staying. And he has just signed a new contract for five years. I have had reassurances about that 100 per cent, he is staying here." Pardew will also try to persuade Steven Taylor, the former England Under-21 captain, to remain at the club even though he seems certain to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season but, for now, retaining Carroll is of paramount importance. "When I sat down with Derek [Llambias, managing director] last night, Andy Carroll came up and he stays," Pardew added. "The No 9 shirt is legendary and he has shown he is big enough to wear it. It would be a massive, massive blow if he left but I am sure he will stay. "Andy Carroll was at the top of my list of questions because he needs to stay. This club has been crying out for another No 9 and he looks like he's fitting the bill, so I made it very clear that he needs to stay."

GafferTape 0
I wasn't that close to pitch level, but from where I was, Pardew wasn't getting any stick at all when he walked past the fans as he was coming out late for the second half. He was actually getting a reasonable amount of support as he walked across. I just don't get that at all. Apart from two half hearted anti-ashley song attempts, there didn't seem anything in terms of any kind of protest against how things were run. I was expecting the atmosphere a bit more hostile following Carroll's sale. I suppose they can continue shitting on us without any real reaction.
