Said from the start that if you get in their faces Arsenal can't handle it. Hence why they always do shit against the physical teams that aren't scared of them, Blackburn, Bolton, normally us etc.

Was it a deserved win? Completely missed it with football on the morning afternoon.

Fully deserved because we played very well and defended/battled brilliantly whenever needed and took our chance when it came, to Wenger its not deserved because they had more chances and hit the bar twice, though he did say we played well and was more hinting they deserved a draw. But football's about taking the chance when it comes and we did!

Fair play, and Wenger will moan about absolutely anything. Prick of the highest order.

Just noticed I put 'morning afternoon'. :icon_lol: Meant afternoon.

I must admit to biting at Wenger's "they only had one shot on target" quote - so did you, you ill-jacketed cunt.

Yeah, he did spend plenty of the match whingeing at the 4th official as is the norm!

Good lads, well done.

Whats your thoughts on the upcoming game Billy ?

You'll win. Although we've won yesterday, we're playing shit and rarely have the ball. And we can't rely on getting away with a player punching the winner into your net yet again. Shola will probably score a couple, and your midfield will run rings around ours. You may complain about Nolan, but he's better than anything we have in that area. It is a case of keeping in touch, and then hoping the Indian chicken farmers take over and give us money to get a decent midfielder, and maybe a striker.

We should be looking at 7th if we keep this up.

calm down

This. As good as we've been in the last 3 matches - a mix of clinical, efficient, mentally strong, physical, solid, and tactically drilled  - we've not had it all our own way this season as the matches against Wigan, Stoke and Blackpool show.

All I want from this season is survival. That's all I'm focusing on. It's too premature to aspire to anything else and we've got a long way to go yet. Keep this sort of form and character up though and we'll be safe in no time; even with the league as tight as it is.

Hopefully we will spend (and not sell) in January after all, and we've got Gosling and Ben Arfa to look forward to next year as well.

Whats the deal there Billy?....if/when it goes through is that the end of the Jack Walker Trust at Blackburn?

Hope you're right. Nothing against you Billy or B/R, I'd just like to see Allardyce slink out of SJP on the receiving end of a beating. 'Casa St James' indeed.

Yep. They have been keeping the club going without any investment in the squad, and have had the club up for sale for years. Hence why we have been getting increasingly inactive in the transfer market. It is not known whether board members like John Williams will stay on or not. However, the VH group have been hanging around for ages, and the sale has been 'imminent' for weeks.

P.S. 'Casa St. James'. Not classy at all.

BRFCS.com. Though I spend more time here, as the regulars are bitchy, miserable shits wholike to score points off each other. I think many Newcastle fans will approve of some of the views espoused by Waggy.

If only we'd beaten Blackpool/Stoke. Title challenge !

:gay: On a budget!! :icon_lol:

Had we beaten them and also Wigan we'd be joint top with Chelsea.

But we didn't and we need to clear it out of our minds. As Fish said, the Mackems & Arsenal results cancel out the Blackpool & Stoke results. We're punching at our weight and it feels fucking great.

Tiote is fucking class like!

Has anyone noticed how whiny the whole of arsenal are, after the wilshere tackle on barton they basically berated the ref for ages cos he got the ball first. It was a clear free kick tho, Barton was still running past him and going for the ball and he just put his foot up to tackle him. Clichy would probably have been sent off if his name was Joey Barton.

They've been this way for about ten years at least.

Another team bites the dust, it was hilarious watching sagna whining to the ref after the finish, both Clichy and Fabregas would have been sent off today if they werent at home in a top 4 side and koszielnys red was clear as day. We were the best team and fully deserved it.

It seems topical to talk about class so I can't help commenting how classless Fabregas was today - nasty, whinging and diving all day. Did anyone notice his off the ball "collision" with Barton just before the swing at Carroll that as mentioned should have seen the twat walk?

Gutted I missed this today, had a sneaky feeling we'd do these if we were brave enough to want it. SBR said the last time we beat them down there that they need to learn how to lose gracefully.

They still haven't learned, Bob.

3-0 to them. Not bothered. This fixture will always be a write-off for me.

Obviously I'm over the moon, you contrary cunt, but I'd rather be the one expecting a hiding away to Arsenal and being pleasantly surprised than the idiot who tells us Mike Ashley is 'as good as it gets' and that we're off to Europe after every win. Look at you trying to get one up on posters on here who show even the slightest reluctance to dance a happy jig at every throw-in we get.

I think this club is on the up. I think we have fully recovered from the terminal decline we began after losing to Partizan in '03 that ended in our relegation, and I think we are taking the first steps on the long road back to being a respectable, competitive Premier League club that can finish in the top half every season and challenge for European qualification and cups. But it is a long road and we are only beginning it, and we have had more false dawns than I can count (as you should remember), so forgive me if I'm trying to stay realistic.

Krull is doing well, brought off a great save which may have made all the difference.

I've never thought too highly of Colo but the last couple of games and especially today's game has shown he has the attributes to be a really good and cultured central defender.

Williamson is increasingly proving to be a very good signing.

Enrique, no need to say anything about him other than he's goood.

Wilson, drops the occasional clanger but he's knocked Perch off his perch.

Tiote, is definitely an asset to the team but he does scare me sometimes when he is pirouetting and losing the ball.

Barton is showing what he is capable of and doing well on the right, hope it continues.

I think Nolan is doing better in the position he is now, perhaps because of his guile and experience he doesn't need the legs.

Jonas blows hot and cold, just wish his final touches would improve.

Stroller is surprising me, just hope he keeps it up.

Andy Carroll is not surprising me, always felt he could develop into a good No.9.

And then there's Hughton, maybe he has the ability to be a good Premiership manager for us. I was glad to see he started the same team and didn't revert to a solitary striker.

As for the team as a whole, I thought everyone put in a good shift, and if we can play consistantly like we did today and get the results we should finish a damned sight higher up the table that most were reconciled to.

Simpson?

The key to keeping on a roll is a bit of luck with injuries. Ben Arfa aside, we've not done too bad up to now (touch wood).....our record in times past has been dismal....
