Christmas Tree 4920
Writer Rudyard Kipling once explained in his Just So stories how the elephant got his trunk. And, from this picture, you can clearly see that he was right - it grew because a hungry crocodile gave it one long pull. The young African elephant had gone to the edge of a waterhole for a drink. But the lush green surroundings hid something more sinister than the young calf could imagine - a fully grown and peckish croc. Before the elephant had a chance to trumpet out a warning and retrieve his proboscis, the crocodile had clamped its jaws round it and was trying to pull the elephant down. The baby looked as though it was fighting a losing battle as it spread its legs for balance and pulled back in fright. Once they realised his distress, the elders of the herd moved swiftly to the waterhole and scared off the croc by trumpeting and stamping the ground. And so Best Beloved, as Kipling would surely have said, it all ended Just So.

Mac-Toon 1
I think you've posted that so-called anecdote about 5 times now like, Rob. It was news to me though, and I did ask him so let him off, Alex. An animal has been known to constantly drag me down, that's why I divorced her.
