sammynb 3640
Anyone else into it? It's Japanese green tea, Bancha the lower grade of Sencha, mixed with roasted brown rice. Quite tasty and better than general green tea. The lass won't drink anything other than peppermint tea, what's your cha?
JawD 99
Love my coffee but Im trying to cut down and only have maybe 2 a day now. Coffee usually my first two cups in a day. After that I do like Green Tea. At the min the box on my desk is Green Tea, Lemongrass & Ginger. Quite partial to Earl Grey as well.

Meenzer 15871
I like a cup of Earl Grey, but it's generally tea for me FYP. (Seriously though - I like a peppermint or camomile tea as much as the next man, as long as he's a screaming bender or Brock , but when did we reach the point where tea is called "English Breakfast"? I blame the Islams.)
WubbleUC 0
I thought it was only called that in hotel buffets! I don't really drink anything other than normal tea or coffee. Have had Earl Grey before when the normal tea has ran out because my Dad drinks it occasionally. That's about it.
sammynb 3640
There is a chain of tea shops over here called T2 and I use to buy my genmaicha from there until I realised I could buy the same thing for $7 at a Japanese grocer instead of $30. Anyway they in the name of all things colonial imitating old blighty sell Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne Breakfast varieties ffs. Chances are only the packaging is different. btw Earl Grey tastes wrong. Edited October 26, 2010 by sammynb

If we end up in a grotty dive in New Cross, you'll feel ashamed not to. I do take your point (and it feels spiffing up my slot), of course it's just another type of tea really - it's just there's clearly such a thing as a British/English cuppa and for me it falls into the same category as "gravy granules" meaning Bisto or "beans" meaning Heinz, for all there's multiple brands competing for the same accolade. Ultimately, if you said "a cup of tea" to anyone from these sceptr'd isles, they'd automatically think, assume and know you were talking about "English Breakfast". Please buy me alkiehol though? Please Unky Dave?
Brock Manson 0
I like to drink matcha. Had a voucher for the stuff when I ordered from Teapigs and thought I'd give it a try. I love green tea in general though, especially the stuff we were drinking in morrocco. Have always been meaning to recreate it for myself but haven't as of yet. Trip to Sainsbury's tomorrow methinks. Meenzer 15871
If Tom's up for it, Bond Street is fine. If it's just you and me, head for London Bridge and we'll pub-surf from there. Will assume the former until further notice though.

He knows where I've been, y'see what does your ex-missus look like? Edited October 26, 2010 by The Fish
