Deano 0
8 games in, 2 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses. Few injuries. Few injured players coming back and some woeful home form to correct. What do you change? For me, i would put Simpson straight into the team against West Ham if fit, if not then it has to be Raylor. Drop Perch to the reserves and leave him there til January when i'd loan him out. Encourage Enrique and Jonas to re-discover that form and great understanding of last season. Also work on a good understanding with Routledge and Simpson. I personally think we need to be concentrating on our wide play and regularity of which the ball gets sent down our flanks, ultimately getting good balls into the box for our strikers. Id start Carroll and Lovenkrands at home and AC and Strola/Nolan away. Tiote and Barton/Guthrie in the middle. ---Krul--- ---Simpson---Willo---Colo---Enrique--- ---Routledge-----Barton-----Tiote-----Gutierrez----- ------Carroll-----Lovenkrands----- Subs: Soderberg, Kadar, Campbell, Raylor, Guthrie, Nolan, Shola All out at home regardless of who we are playing and park the bus away from home. Not that hard really.....How much you on CH? Edited October 18, 2010 by Geordie Lad...

Carroll is an idiot but our best striker and he's still young and naive, he'll come through this. That said, if he is found to of twatted his ex then i would agree with most and get shot. Sad being a geordie n'all.

Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
Carroll is going to jail, he can fuck off and clean the boots for the rest of the season. Even in a local prison that would be a logistical nightmare. Clean the boots till he's banged up, then he's buggered. On a serious note I could see him getting in a fight in prison should he ever get time. He brain must have totally disintegrated after all those headers. What has Willo done? I think he has been good for us so far this season. Carroll is an idiot but our best striker and he's still young and naive, he'll come through this. That said, if he is found to of twatted his ex then i would agree with most and get shot. Sad being a geordie n'all. I think Willo has been ok - should have done better last game - but Campbell is more experienced and better when fit. Even if Carroll is acquitted of this latest offence, he's still due in court for the last one soon in the fricking nightclub. Too much bother imo and get rid. He's been kicking off at Preston, with team-mates, with the public, with the England U21s, the lad's a lost cause imo. He's not even that good a player, considering the shite we have to put up with from him.
AgentAxeman 199
so is Saylor deffo leaving then? for all his faults he's a good shout at CB or even RB. Christ, thinking about it, he's probs the best RB we've got!
Deano 0
I dont think Carroll is a lost cause, nor do i think he is shite...i do however think that he has went off the rails, but not too far gone. He is young and clearly mustn't have close ones around to keep him grounded. IF he is found to of lamped this bird then yeah he can fuck off...no-body can condone that kinda behaviour. As for Taylor, he is another with a bit of a wild boy attitude, bigger than he is, and again another with good potential. In an ideal world we could get these two to settle down, concentrate on their football and use them as the geordie spine to the team. Unfortunatly i dont think Chris Hughton has the balls or the man management in him to do this, thus meaning we could and probably will lose one if not both. Edited October 18, 2010 by Geordie Lad... wykikitoon 21519
The problem Jonas and Enrique have this season are quite simply, better opposition. Its very early days. I would drop Perch for sure though.
JawD 99
Who put the ball in for the equaliser last game ? I'd give raylor a shot at RB as I think set pieces are one of a few chances we have given our striker quality. I think routledge has ability to beat a man and get in good positions if only he could put a good ball in. If we play shola or Carroll we need players who can put a ball in. Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
i think enriques done well this season tbh, good crosses and decent bursts up the left. but for jonas it's spot on, can't cross pass or shoot really and has no tricks. Who put the ball in for the equaliser last game ? I'd give raylor a shot at RB as I think set pieces are one of a few chances we have given our striker quality. I scored a wonder strike at footy last friday, left foot volley flew in like a bullet... everyone hits the odd decent shot/cross, hes meant to be able to do it more than the odd time Jonas has put in some good crosses this season to be fair, and scored what was at the time a vital goal. I actually think his performances have improved after Ben Arfa came in, perhaps the competition has revved him up a bit. If BA was still fit Guti could switch to the right he seems to struggle crossing on his left at pace, and tends to cut inside an awful lot. I thought Wigan realised he was our only danger man because they were very quick to close him in particular down in numbers whenever he got the ball. Never makes a forward run into space off the ball like. Get's annoying watching him overlap Enrique , stop on the touchline, receive the pass, give it back to Enrique/get fouled (delete as appropriate). Would like to see him keep going and Enrique thread a pass every now and then, but he only seems comfortable trying to go past a defender if he has the ball and can fall over to win a free kick.
