Nolan Reliable goal scorer, not particularly mobile, but he knows when and where to pop up with important goals, useful in the air.

Ameobi - Will score.

I'm off to buy a lottery ticket for next week

Amazing first half, the whole team has been great and sunderland has been nowhere. Only minus is tiote has seemed human this half, he got better at the end though. Ref gave us a little bit of slack on the 2nd goal, but its been long overdue. The penalty was clear as day, well done by Jonas. And for all of Nolans faults he is delivering today, and im starting to believe in him for the future aswell. Now for the 2nd half prepare for a sunderland meltdown! 6 - 0 is this seasons record so far, and it has got to go!

Wicked penalty from Shola, unstopable I reckon.

Danny Simpson has looked pretty good today. Part of that may be because he's not had to deal with a lot defensively, but he has overlapped nicely and was at the pace of the game from the get go. His passing has been good and he almost got a lovely assist. Was our better fullback for the first half of the half, Enrique's class shone through in the end, marking elmohamady out of the game and off the pitch.

Tiote had a slow start, wanted too much time on the ball, but now knows he can't be at all hesitant in this match.

Barton has been going well, some excellent crosses and set-pieces, which is where we troubled them first.

More of this in the second half please! ...and no more odgy yellows pls Mr Dowd.

I reckon Nolan will still get another chance for his hat-trick.

worried about how many of our lot are on yellows though.

Not a bad first derby for toontastic's new generation.

Have to agree about Simpson, hasnt set a foot wrong so far. I love the professionalism about letting ameobi take it aswell. Many teams would have gone for Nolans hat trick and he probably would have scored, but the right thing to do is let whoever is the best penalty taker take it.
