Guest alex
The injury is obviously unfortunate but pinning your hopes on a loan signing / having such a thin squad (quality-wise anyway, especially in an attacking sense) is asking for trouble. Guest alex
He's spot on tbf. Btw, I fucking knew Johnson would score the winner as soon as I saw him warming up. Also, how easy was it for him? The defenders should've known that he wanted to cut inside onto his left to have a shot and it was a case of 'there you go'. Waddle's crack was decent (as usual) but he was wanking over the stepover but Johnson effectively beat two men without actually beating either of them, if you know what I mean. Shite defending. Guest Tuco Ramirez
Unlikely source (both rag and author), but: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...o=feeds-newsxml That Steaua-Napoli game, imagine if it was at the San Paulo??? Wouldn't happen, and it shows football is corrupt. English, Spanish and Italian teams get all the decisions in Europe, an utter piss take. If that had've happened in Napoli with Steaua equalising, then the ref would wake up with a horses heed next to him. Imagine Wenger pmsl he was moaning about 15 seconds. Although Enrique should've been tighter to start with I thought. Edited October 4, 2010 by alex

Totally agree RE Johnson's goal: it was ok, shite defending, nowt special. You just know there will be a media wankfest over him now because he's english and he'll be touted as the next Garrincha or some bullhsit. Young english players are so hyped, 2/3 goals and they think they're the dog's bollocks. Milner is a great example of an overhyped english player. He's average in every department except workrate and he's probably on 100k a week or close to it at City. How much did they pay for him, 26 mill and Ireland? Have to shake your head at the modern game sometimes.

Holden McGroin 6785
Johnson is going to be class if he keeps this form up. Its amazing that England have been crying out for a left winger for decades so when we finally get one its now popular to play wingers on the "wrong" side of the field. I didnt realise he was a Toon fan as well. Edited October 4, 2010 by Holden McGroin

Waddle's bias against us is becoming a joke tbh! Johnson did well but Jose should have realised who he was up against and forced him on his weaker foot (which tbf he he put right after but unfortuately too late). You just knew what Johnson would be looking to do!

Guest alex
Waddle keeps going on and on about our high line. To be fair though. He is right. It depends how you look at it. It's a risky strategy but Man City don't have a lot of pace upfront so you can play that way against them. Of course you are in danger of getting caught out like we did for their pen and too many straight long balls beat our back four / caused problems but at the same time it allowed us to condense the area in which the game is played and stop them playing, which I think we were reasonably successful at. Holden McGroin 6785
Yep, its a very risky strategy though. We could dominate the game the one long ball and its game over. I can recall at least three times they got a break away due to this. Milner (but Ricky caught up with him in the end) Barry (when for some reason he tried to pass to Tevez) Tevez ("pelanty") If you get a team with speedy forwards then we could be in a bit of trouble. Howay 12496
I like Adam Johnson quality player, me dads been working with his cousin and from what he says my dad reckons he's a pretty down to earth guy. He said when he first went to city he didnt have tonnes of money and was expecting them to maybe put him up in a decent hotel but they put him up in some big mansion with a flash sports car reckons Adam loves the money but isn't too keen about warming the bench, also was interesting to hear that City has a lot of cliques like all the french are a little clique and things like that not really any unity and Mancini isn't too arsed about it. I guess it's similar at alot of teams but sounds especially bad there.

They were in the main night club in that area, and he told his bird to go home because he'd pulled some other fittie. I believe the story and what a cunt. Loads of people think that but 99% seem to be pricks when put in that situation. I'd put you in the other 1% though, obviously Must be such a fucking strange life like.
