Park Life 71
If the top 5 finish (change places) as is and Liv finish 6th, our perenial enemies for 7th - 9th (of time gone by) are struggling (Villa and Everton), I sense a window of oppurtunity this season, mad though it may sound. My start of the season prediction was 12th, perhaps even though it is early days, a lot of the second tier seem to be struggling (Fulham new manager, Villa new manager and rubbish, Everton (end of a cycle?)...There is perhaps more we could achieve this season than we dared dream of. Top ten is certainly a possibility. But higher?

Wavey Davey 0
Beware of your feelings, parky. They do you credit but they could be used to serve the emperor. Or in other words, let's not get carried away.

Park Life 71
Long way to go. Couple of injuries and we're screwed. Talk of finishing 5th is madness. Probably badly worded, but 7-10 is what I meant. You're right about inj, especially up front, but that may be addressed in the winter window, after all we never expected the quality of Tiote and Bafra. If these two continue to deliver, there is a lot of very average PL sides out there we can punish.
Park Life 71
Maybe the container ship from Africa heading for Amsterdam got lost and unloaded in Hamburg? I expect better from you. Take a step back and look at the state of this league once you get past the top 8. I think most sides can beat each other really.
OTF 7787
Where is accadacca? If he was here I'd be a lot more confident about our chances. The more he's posting the more games we're winning. I think anyone here would be happy with a top ten finish let alone what you're talking. I've been bitten too much in the past to expect anything more than 17th however. If we come 10th it's an unbelievable success. 7th we should have a toontastic cam conference and all knock one out. We lost to Blackpool at home (unjustly) and Everton's performance last night perhaps put Saturday's game in perspective.

Guest Tuco Ramirez
In terms of support we should be top 4, but off the pitch we're a little corner shop compared to Chelsea and Man Utd. Everton and Villa are established and have been doing what we should've been doing (and bettering) for the last five years, it's unrealistic to think a side containing James Perch can finish above sides who have the recent experience. Tom 14021
We seem to be an unknown quantity this season and staying in the league is a good season for us. ''Form is temporary, class is permanent'' etc.. There are still a lot of questions this league can throw at us so we need to settle down, be careful and get behind the lads because I wouldn't be surprised to see another Blackpool where we just have no luck - also we are yet to play really shite... We could end up like a Wigan or Reading who both came 8th, in what's known as first season syndrome, I'm more concerned about where we are in 3 years than where we will be at the end of the season.
