With regard to Shola I'm defintely not his biggest fan but fuck me he put away two excellent strikes tonight against Chelsea. He did like, both of them goals were top notch. This is the dilemna with Shola and probably why managers take a chance with him, he has this ability to shoot early and put it right in the corner along the floor, his goal last season against Forest being a good example. Frustrating as fuck when he strolls around but great to see when he scores two goals like he did tonight, they were top class finishes.
Guest Tuco Ramirez
When you're smilin the whooooooooooole world smiles with you :):):):) It's the League Cup but who gives a fuck, and the bitter bastard commentator he must've mentioned it was Chelsea's reserve team 10 times. Chelsea * 22 Turnbull - multi million pound keeper * 19 Ferreira - 70 caps for Portugal * 26 Terry (Alex 46) - absolute mainstain of their team * 38 Van Aanholt - will play top level football all his career * 43 Bruma yellow card - cost a fortune * 07 Ramires - cost a fuckin fortune * 10 Benayoun - first choice this season * 18 Zhirkov - see above * 23 Sturridge - played a part in nearly every game this season * 39 Anelka - best player this season * 44 Kakuta (Kalou 46) (McEachran 56) - one of the most exciting prospects in Europe Substitutes * 01 Cech, * 33 Alex, * 62 Chalobah, * 46 McEachran, * 47 Clifford, * 50 Mellis, * 21 Kalou By my reckoning of the 11 that started the game five (you could argue six when Ramires settles) would make their starting eleven, not mention Alex and Kalou who came on. Contrast that will two players who would definitely start in our team. Bitter bastards. They're not going to diminish our achievement, the cunts. An epic night to be a toon fan, dippers out, mackems out, Chelsea out, Tottenham out. If we get an easy draw we're 2 games from Wembley, and what a day that would be. League Cup I've always regarded as high as the FA Cup anyway me.

ChezGiven 0
Few sides in the draw we'd be delighted to draw at home. Fair play to the lass in the club shop, they got free bets and she said she hoyed it all on an away win. Was in getting mine and our little un's ben arfa tops. Our lass got a sexy pink t-shirt thing. Canny day

OTF 7485
Shola will be begging for a run out against Stoke now, and on the back of that you can hardly begrudge him the chance. His horrible misskick is forgivable on the back of two well taken goals (the header clearly superior) and what should have been a quality assist. Paired with Carroll might seem odd, but against Stoke his size and clattering nature could come in handy. Plus no doubt he'll be on a high after the win so worth a shot to put him out there. Nolan was decent against Everton so it would be harsh for him to lose his spot. Edit- If he does play against Stoke don't let him mark anyone on their corners, he gash at defending corners unlike Carroll who is ace at it. Christmas Tree 4821
Just watched it again on the Beeb highlights and it just looks better and better. The beeb said "one of the Cup games". And I've said it before and I'll say it again.....There's definitely a touch of the Sir Booby Robsons when you see Chris Hughton being interviewed. Definitely a night to savour for most toon fans. Couldn't think of two more polar opposite characters to be honest. I think on sunday we should thank Hughton properly for what he's done here. Who'd hurt of Tiote? Be honest. Who'd have thought we could get Ben Arfa, you'd have thought this time last we'd beat Everton and Chelsea away. The whole ground at once needs to give him a song I think. Maybe a young Robson is not like a young Hughton, but I can certainly see a lot of the humility of the old Robson in Hughton. He has a lovely way when talking about results / performances / players and its always about the players and not himself.

Collymore was calling Shearer, Lineker and Hansen shit pundits the other day. Now don't get me wrong sometimes they're tired and state the obvious, but Collymore?!?! If there's a game on 5, I wont stick it on till kick off as I literally can't listen to him, nothing to say, monotone disgrace of a brummie voice, oh dear, and he has the cheek to slag Hansen off reminds me of today when Ketsbaia called me a "knobber" must be some mackem phrase that, never heard it before.
