Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
One of the things I disliked about Robson was that he seemed to write players off based on one game or incident - I think Acuna paid the price for the Wolves cup defeat and there was getting rid of Andy Griffin just because he had a punch-up in a reserve match. He's certainly not the only manager with this trait - I think Keegan and Souness were both guilty of the same thing - but its disappointing to see nonetheless. I'm not saying either were world beaters but I think once you have some decent squad players around, you shouldn't lose them for what I think are daft reasons. I remember this place (in it's old incarnation) went absolutely crazy after the Wolves cup defeat. In the sense that the forum became absolute quality. I always trace it back to that actually. There was uproar on 'here' after Lua-Lua scored for Portsmouth against us despite being on loan too. Was that the same season? Must have been later that...this was going back to 2002 (I think). The one where Bellars was kissing his prem badge at the end to the Wolves fans. My bad. The Wolves cup game was Jan 2003, the Lua lua thing was towards the end of the 03-04 season I think. Just into '03 with it being the 3rd round. Jesus I thought Lua Lua was later than 03/04 mind. Surprised me that.
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Add Solano to the list of players Bob got the hump with. Got subbed off for Shola between 60-70 mins what seemed like every game one season.
shackbleep 0
Speaking of Andy Griffin, I thought he was alright actually (and not just because of THAT goal against Juventus). Hard little bastard IIRC - can't remember the game but I remember him tracking a player back towards the Gallowgate/Milburn corner evidently having enough and just punting the bastard right up the arse. spongebob toonpants 3902
Frank Clark - My Dad used to tell me he only got in the team because he did Joe Harvey's gardening at least 5 times a match. He wasn't so much a victim of the boo-boys more the grumblers Finally left after after about 15 years, out to the knackers yard at last according to my Pa. Then managed to fit in A Championship European Cup and a few League cup wins. Not bad for a past it donkey. Got subbed off for Shola between 60-70 mins what seemed like every game one season. That was after Nobby changed his mind about playing for Peru. Bobby didn't like our South American players choosing country over club, although Nobby always seemed to make himself available after an international. Acuna, seemed to suffer for also choosing his country. Didn't he go play for Chile one time when we had a few injuries in the CM when he was fit and Bobby wasn't happy? I could be wrong, but I think he didn't play for Chile because he'd fallen out with the coach or something. He did go home to see his sick mother though, which is why he left eventually. Gejon 2
Not having a dig here, but do they ever have threads like this on NO when people in their late 20's to early 50's have a crack about days goneby? When I was on there it would be impossible to have this type of discussion, debating how good ginger jock left backs were who only played 30 games for us from 20 years ago. This cunt Gejon could be 6 miles from the South Pole, and he'd get an alarm WEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPP WARNING NEWCASTLE ONLINE BEING ABUSED WEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPP WARNING NEWCASTLE ONLINE BEING ABUSED Putting the theory to the test? Hi You wouldn't need an alarm. A quick check of "last posts by this member" from one of Stevies numerous accounts would find a post slagging off N-O before you got to page 2.
