Tom_NUFC 0
Here's my main ones. My others are shite. EPIPHONE LES PAUL '56 GOLDTOP with Gibson 'Soap Bar' Pick Ups (1999) I bought this one in January 2000 with some of the money I got for working double, triple and quadruple time over that Christmas and New Year. YAMAHA FG-160 (1969) This one used to be my Mam's. She bought it from new with her first full time wage packet. She gave it to me about ten years ago when I was 16. because she has arthritis and finds it hard to play steel stringed guitars (she plays nylon stringed classical style guitars nowadays). It's a bit scratched these days, but it still plays well. FENDER PRECISION BASS STANDARD (MEXICAN SERIES) (2002) I started messing about on Bass about 4 years ago, and got myself this about 3 years ago. I paid £140 for it from the bassist in my dad's band. They're about £300 new and this one was only 3 months old when I bought it. Apart from that I've got my first two guitars, which are a bit crap. My first one was a Black Les Paul copy called a Satellite. I bought it from a shop in Wallsend for £15 when I was 15. It sounds horrible. I've also got a Maroon Fender Stratocaster Squier, which I got when I was 18. It needs a load of work doing to it now, and once I got my Les Paul, I hardly used it. Its been ages since I bought any now, but I will do at some point. I'll either get a Stratocaster, Telecaster, Mustang, Jaguar or maybe a Casino or something. And then of course there's basses. I've had my eye on a Musicman Stingray, and you can get them for about £700 now.
Jill 0
http://www.thetabworld.com/Gibson__SG_Spec...ar_reviews.html Mine's not too shabby.. prefer actually going into a shop and trying them out instead of reading reviews.. some people seriously don't have a clue, and think they do. Jusoda Kid 1
I was bought an acoustic when I was 10 for Xmas, got lessons too but i was useless and the teacher wanted me to learn all this classical bollox so i gave it up. Sold the thing at a car boot a few months back for a fiver, i'm now concentrating on my new musical project with my recently unemployed associate Wacky Jnr - we're called The Dualling Banjo String's. We're playing the Archer tomorrow night. It's a sight and sound to behold! 62776[/snapback] All are welcome with a special discount for Toontastic members. We're hoping to make it a three piece band but are currently struggling to find a female member to play the blue vein trumpet, any takers? We practice 7 nights a week

I only bought it recently and I like it far more than the boring old squier strat I've had for years. I really don't like the strat style at all. I'd rather have something a bit more unique.

Geordie Boyo 24
Sorry for the late reply, been too....lazy Jill, that's a very good offer which I might take up as I am looking to buy one for a friend of mine. I'm gonna have a look thou in the mean time to see if I can get a good deal with possibly a case and few bits and bobs that come with it as he's just starting off like me. I've been told I'm getting one for Christmas So I'll inform me mother of each place you lot have generously gave a mention.

Matt 0
Just out of interest how hard is it to play guitar? Been thinking about getting one sometime in the new year, finding my current setup a bit limited (1 keyboard synth and 1 rack synth). I fancy something different. Matt 0
I'm still scarred from a Year 6 music lesson whereby no matter how hard i tried, I could not stretch my fingers to play a C chord.
