Holden McGroin 6779
I think most series are like that though. When you have 10-12 hours of screen time per season they have go into character development a bit more. I dont see your comparison with Transformers though. Cid_MCDP 0
I feel a bit conned. It reminds of Jurassic Park.... 5 mins of dinosaurs, 55 mins of irrelevant soap opera. Same applies to the Transformers films. Still, I started watching it so I'll have to watch them all now. I hope they don't stretch over 10 series like Lost. Don't know why you feel conned, the comic has always been more about the survivors and their relationships than anything else.
Lazarus 0
I've just read the first 10 comics. I must say I'm enjoying them far more than the series. They're a lot more intense and atmospheric. comics are excellent. there'll be a few times when youll say to yourself "i really hope they dont film that!". theres some devastating stuff happening to major characters later on. Is the TV series following the comics closely so far? Nah, not really. Thematically, sure. But there's already some rather significant differences. check ya pm's dude - dont wanna put any potential spoilers in the thread.

Tooj 17
After a very promising pilot episode, this has been a bit of a let down for me. They've already deviated from the comics and the characters really are as dull as dish water. I really wouldn't be bothered if any of them died at this moment in time. spongebob toonpants 4123
I might try the West Wing. I never got around to watching the wire either. I am so jealous of people who haven't seen the wire Holden!! get i watched and come back and thank me 6 episodes in. AS for the Walking Dead -I haven't seen the finale yet, and even though I have enjoyed it, it has in no way lived up to the potential of ep1. Kid Dynamite 7166
The shield is immense. One of those series where you are up til 4am watching just one more episode!
Jimbo 175
The shield is immense. One of those series where you are up til 4am watching just one more episode! yup and the full collection box set is £29 on play currently, bought it the other week I'm serious wanting to watch it from start to finish again, Mrs Jimbo hasn't seen it yet which seems like good excuse to watch it. Those final few episodes are some the best TV I've ever seen.
