Alex 34846
There was a short-lived Chicago Pizza place in Newcastle (Malnati’s) opposite the central station. This was back in the early 80s I think. I remember going a few times with my mam and dad and the place having loads of American tin signs like you get in 50s-style diners. Which was very exotic for Newcastle back then They failed to break into the UK market but I think they’re still around, mainly in Illinois. There’s probably a good reason why that particular style of pizza isn’t particularly popular

It's also why the Midwest is the land of the weeble.

In my head, it was the place on the corner under the John Dobson Street NCP. Last time I saw it, it was a Frankie and Benny's. Gemmill 44393
What was it like @Kid Dynamite? I had a Scream for Pizza on Sat night. Tremendous as ever. £13.50, not the £30 they charge the Mackems.
Ayatollah Hermione 13794
I’ve had that Pigalos pizza before and it’s certainly something. Their burgers are canny but they’re definitely “Instagram” food. Load it with a load of sauce so it looks canny with a filter on but there’s plenty of better burgers about
The Fish 10740
Was up to visit the folks recently with my lad. Went to Coastline at Blyth Beach for tea. Fucking hell it was grim. I got a burger and it was bad enough as it is, but on my first bite I discovered they'd put a thick cut piece of cucumber in there. Not a pickle, a fucking warm, doorstep of cucumber. Why? Lesson learned, never let your sister pick the place you eat. There's fucking loads of good or great chip shops around there, and she chose the worst one.
Alex 34846
Coastline at Blyth has aiways been nice when I’ve been. Admittedly not tried the burgers though. Who the fuck gets a burger from the chip shop anyway? Edited September 3 by Alex

I’ve just driven round Yeovil’s one way system 3 times to find a carpark. This after: 1. Dude in cafe couldn’t understand what I was saying, when I asked for milk he gave me sugar 2. Dude in premises I’m attending this morning laughed in my face and said “WELL I DIDNT UNDERSTAND ANY OF THAT!” when I was explaining what I’m there to do, in front of his clients and colleagues 3. Car play has stopped working, no audiobooks/podcasts Hope you’re all having a better morning than me
