What's for lunch that's interesting or a bit different and isn't just a ham sandwich or some beetroot

The French cuisine is the end product of centuries of twice yearly invasion (minimum) by various different cultures, each one adding a little to the pot.

Since we are not a nation of Thrush Eating Running Away specialists, we haven't bent over for Johnny Foreigner in quite a while, hence the reputation for bad cuisine.

*bites tongue

It gets better (keep biting it).

My mothers mother had gone out there as a single woman and came back with a child and no husband.

At the time of approximate conception one of the Royal princes of England was visiting that town. I'm expecting a call one day. ;)

The good thing about AUSTRALIAN cuisine is, we have taken the best of from Europe and Asia. We can't help but make good food.

I've heard Steak = Very good

Everything else = A poor copy of what everyone else does

Was roast beef for us today too and since it was our lass cooking it her preferred method was to get the beef to write the oven a letter. May as well have done the amount of time it spent in there.

I'll never forget my first French steak many many moons ago in Montpellier before I was worldly wise.

Slapped its arse and served it up. I tried to put on a good show for the wife and kids who were virtually wrenching.
