What's for lunch that's interesting or a bit different and isn't just a ham sandwich or some beetroot

did a savage lunch time weight training session today and have since treated myself to two lunches. one superzise quinoa salad with mixed veg, feta and chili and mango dressing. an hour later i was still hungry so had a mozarella, tomato and pesto baguette.

Give over gloom they look awesome!

Im sure yours would be mixed in with seeds, rock plants and nuts but I like them as they are. :)

i like beans on toast as much as the next man but mine don't look like the slop you've posted. i didn't think it was possible to mess up beans!

Bring it on Gloom ;)

i haven't got the snaps to back it up, but here's how a real man makes beans:

cook on low heat for over ten minutes until the tomato sauce has reduced and beans take on a much thicker look - like you'd get in a greasy spoon.

then, take the beans off the heat and add a large knob of butter. mix well then serve over toasted freshly baked sour dough bread. real bread that you cut yourself, not that mighty white crap you're eating.

plus avoid margerine. butter is way better for you and tastes better too.

Should've cut two rounds into rectangles and put one round bang in the middle(the one on the right as it looks like the heel) then one rectangle at each of the sides, too much sauce as well.

way too much sauce. that shit needs cooking off. and it's in a sea of marge ffs

Aye, a simple dish that you've done your best to murder on that evidence.

Open tin, pour in pan and heat. Meanwhile Toast and butter / Marge bread.

Pour beans on toast.

A tried and tested method performed simply by men and women for generations!

Give yourself a slap, real men

I like to toast 2 slices of bread, melt cheese on the top then cut them diagonal and arrange them round the plate so there's a well in the centre. Then it's beantown. Finished off with a bit of parmesan and a sprig of curly leaf parsley if I have any handy. ^_^

Only a whole tin of beans if it's brunch and I've missed brekkie though.

Never thought I'd see the day where anyone was getting annoyed at the particulars of rustling up beans on toast. It's hardly a dish that's going to be improved much more with fancy kitchen skills.

Somebody hasn't seen my beans flambé on Melba toast.

I'm just appalled he hasn't cut the toast into triangles...

Also, you've got to throw some black pepper on there.

tonight I'm having one of these

with some turkey breast thrown in.
