Guest
Rossi, Bernard, Pavel Srnicek, Sibierski, Oguchi Onyewu All loan deals/free transfers in 2006/early 2007. this may not have been mentioned, as I can't be arsed to read the whole thread, but why don't we actually just pay a fee and sign him to be our player ? Aye, like Freddy was doing before he left?
LeazesMag 0
I guess I never appreciated the Halls and Shepherd handing their managers decent transfer budgets to help them qualify for europe regularly enough then agreed So if there was still money, why did we loan a striker and sign an uncontracted left back? are you going to take my bet ie Mike Ashley will never match the league positions of the Halls and Shepherd ? Put up or shut up. Look, you thick cunt, why would I take up that bet? I've never suggested it would happen. You miss the point completely, fucktard, Ashley won't achieve those league positions because he has to clean up the state that Shepherd left. We know the club was in a mess financially, that's why Shepherd started to loan players and sign uncontracted players, yet you criticise Ashley for doing it, when all he's doing is picking up where your man Freddy left off the Halls and Shepherd cleaned up a damn sight bigger "mess" than Ashley has found. As I've pointed out, with figures and statistics to show it. Anyway, well done for admitting Ashley won't match them. Shame you haven't got the balls to bet me. Now fuck off. Im sure using stats to sure how much money needs to be spent to get a club into the top 4 would show how much of a harder, and more expensive job Ashley has. How anybody gives you the time of day is beyond me. I must admit, I've came across some thickos on message boards, but you are right up the top with thompers and a few idiots on Newcastle Online. Football is about what happens on the pitch. If you want Newcastle United to compete with the likes of Burnley and look at the balance sheet, then thats up to you. If you want to play in europe regularly, you have to buy the best players. Get it ? I doubt that you do. Loan signings when a budget has been allocated in keeping with a big club like us = fine. Loan signings when you have spent fuck all anyway = bollocks. It's that simple. Now. Are you or are you not going to bet me that within 5 years, of which 3 have already passed, Mike Ashley matches the league positions the Halls and Shepherd did in their first 2 years of running this football club. Put up or shut up.

Newcastle United are still one of the biggest clubs in the country, with a vast fanbase [which Mike Ashley is not tapping, see the falling crowds. Why do you think this is so ?]. So nothing in that respect is any different. Edited September 4, 2010 by LeazesMag

Guest
I lobe the fact that you think that they can do mo wrong because they did Ashley has made mistakes in his first 3 years. Would you agree that shepherd, having been in the game for more than a decade but still appointing souness and roeder, hadn't learned a lot whereas it could be argued that Ashley has made his mistakes early on and can learn?
