Bez jailed after assault on ex-girlfriend

by Daily Gossip Aug 26th 2010 1:59AM

BezHappy Mondays bonkers dancer Bez was jailed yesterday after flatly refusing to accept a court order.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner assaulted his ex-girlfriend Monica Ward after accusing her of stealing from their two-year-old son's trust fund, throttling her in front of the boy, dragging her across their Manchester flat and kicking the door in.

Having been convicted of assault and using violence to secure entry, the drug-addled dancer was ordered to perform 100 hours' community service and pay £450 in costs.

However, Bez (representing himself) called the ruling a "travesty", claiming there was no medical evidence to back up the charge and insisting that he had acted in self-defence.

"I am completely innocent and refuse to be found guilty," he ranted. "I will not recognise any sentence you give me."

As the judge at Manchester Magistrates court gave the community order, he answered "Bothered" and added: "I'm going to appeal and take this to a real court."

And things got even more bizarre when Bez was jailed for four weeks - as he was led away to the cells he shouted: "Victory is in my grasp."

A bail application has already been refused.

If the Government needs a new anti drugs message to send to kids, all they need to do is parade Bez and Sean Ryder at schools up and down the country. Mad as a box of frogs the pair of them :)

"I didn't even touch her and she deserved it anyway."

and kicking the door in.

Back ones I presume?

Not wanting to trivialise domestic violence, but if there was no medical evidence and was her word against his then it does become a bit of a judicial coin toss.
