ewerk 31293
Taylor put on transfer list Sky Sports sources understand that Newcastle have placed Steven Taylor on the transfer list. The defender, currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, will be out of contract at the end of the season. The Magpies had been keen to keep Taylor but his agent Paul Stretford recently admitted that negotiations over an extension were not progressing smoothly. Newcastle have now decided to make Taylor available for transfer after he turned down their latest offer of a new deal. The proposal was thought to be in the region of £40,000-a-week, while Taylor's representatives wanted something closer to £60,000. The 24-year-old has been with Newcastle since the start of his career and played a key role in helping the club earn promotion back to the Premier League. JawD 99
Do I want him to stay? Yes. Do I want the club to be held at gun point over high wages? No. Transfer negotiations seem to have been a pain in the arse with him for a while now. For me £40K pw is more than a good deal.

TicTacWoe 0
he's daft to be looking for more than 40k, he won't get that anywhere else unless Man City want another reserve team bench warmer. I still think it's a big shame if he goes as I reckon he's better than a lot of people seem to think. Seems like a right idiot though.

Andrew 4917
He's not as good as he seems to think he is. nope and he'll be in for a rude awakening when he sees what other clubs are willing to offer him, looking at the likes of everton/blackburn who are likely to fancy him neither will offer him more than 40k because hes not more than 40ks worth of player
