Wedding reception music

Ok, so a mate has asked me to give him a few ideas ( aplylist) for his wedding reception, his fiance piped up with "Yeah some good stuff, like Coldplay and Snow Patrol". Now, do I do my best to make a good playlist, or do I listen to the silly bint and shoe-horn some clunky average indie-pop in there?

I was thinking about some inoffensive classics from the Stones, the Beatles and the like, maybe some Mumford & Sons etc.

whaddya reckon?

Just about any Stevie Wonder from that sort of era is class tbf.

Think Sir Duke might be my favourite like. Songs in the Key of Life is one of the only "double albums" that doesn't feel bloated.

Class tune. Great album.

And Fish, in that case how about a bit of classy piano shit? Debussy or Satie or something like that?

If you some classy background for during the meal, Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.

Just put the entire album on a loop.

Love that album.

Love that album.

There's an album by Coleman Hawkins & Ben Webster which is even more chilled than K.O.B.

Can I fuck remember what it's called though.

I'll have a hunt. :)

I only know him through my uncle. Thought he played the harmonica tbh. It was a joke anyway as I thought you were taking the piss.

I was kidding, he wasn't exactly the classiest pianist going.
