I was as appalled as everyone else at how the first 2-3 years of Ashley's ownership went....but after relegation we came straight back up and have a decent squad with a bit of team spirit and a stable manager. We're not throwing borrowed money away on shit players and not giving stupid long term contracts to players who are well past their sell by dates. We'll obviously see what happens next but you can't really fault the business we've done this last transfer window.
Jusoda Kid 1
Lets not forget what this wanker has done: 5.2 The Club admitted to the Tribunal that it repeatedly and intentionally misled the press, public and the fans of Newcastle United. I'm with you, I think the step backwards has done us a world of favours, cleared out a lot of deadwood and we're looking pretty sensible in our approach to rebuild. I said it before but just the way our team plays and the character it seems to have developed has got me excited about watching us again. I didn't have that for years towards the end of Shepherd's stint. I always expected us, despite having superstars, to lack bottle and be shit. Three games does not make a season.
