I just like being contrary where Leazes is concerned tbh

I'm glad you've finally admitted it. Can you keep the drivvel to the PMs from now on? The rest of us are fucking fed up with it!

Are the the official speaker for the rest of you like? :)

We'll see shall we? If someone (ASM & Leazes Mag excepted) disagrees with what I've said can you please say so? ;)

Is ASM one of the 'agent provocateurs' Pud reckoned the club had employed to stir shit on message boards? It's just that he'd fit in with their recruitment policy.

As boring as ever.

Doesn't get any more ironic than that tbh :)

Ze dude that scored the bullet against us for bristol city..

oh him ! I thought he was canny tbh, at that level anyway.

Unthinkable that he could make a step up. If it's not someone leaving one of europe's top 20 for £??M pounds then it's just not ambitious.

you do realise it isn't so long ago that we one of europes top 20 don't you :)

My point exactly, you don't excel against the teams around you by signing the players that they've deemed not good enough and poor enough to sell, that's how you end up outside of the top 20 ;)

Well, we dropped out of the top 20 in this country alone due to Mike Ashley and nobody else. So much for there being plenty of alternative good owners around.

Bollocks you daft cunt. The MAJORITY of the players that got us relegated were brought in during Shepherd's reign

The villa chairman is quite well received, the mackems like their new owners I'm sure, the Mancs and Liverpool have their issues with their's but they still provide backing for their managers. Man City on the whole fucking love their new owners. A new owner worked wonders for Chelsea. Has it not occurred to you that we may have been the exception to the rule in getting a bad new owner, possibly due to the fact that your blessed previous owners took the money and ran rather than care about who is buying it?

I didn't realise the Villa chairman had ran a club that seriously ran for the league title and played in the Champions League. Still, pretend he did if you like to suit your "opinion".

I would say that the Halls didn't care too much who paid them the money, it would certainly appear to be the case. But Shepherd almost certainly didn't want to sell his shares and give up his seat in the boardroom.

I didn't want to sell my shares either too btw, but had no choice.

The point remains. Good owners put their club into the position we were in, the vast majority of owners get nowhere near that, but you still insist for some reason they weren't good owners. Wierd.

See the bit in your post that I have put in bold ? Why don't you apply that criteria to the Halls and Shepherd, because that was certainly the case so far as they were concerned, or are you admiting that yours is nothing other than a personality driven agenda ?

You should concede this and get back on track. This player may be a good player in the premiership but then again he may not. There is nothing wrong with making judgements on players from lower leagues but in essence you need to balance that up by buying players who also have proved their ability, or at least the big clubs should be doing this, and the clubs who act like big clubs should are doing it. You can't expect to put together a good side and achieve consistent european qualifications by buying bargans exclusively, because for the most part only about 1 on 4 or 5 buys achieve the necessary quality. This is the way it is, like it or not.
