karandak 0
I'm sure this post may have been posted on many occasions, but I'll ask it anyway.... Coming up to Newcastle for a 30th this weekend!! Having a night out drinking (of course), and wondering where's best to go.... Have heard about Quayside and is it Big Market?? Don't really have a clue about either though to be honest!! Other point is, she's decided that we are doing fancy dress so....will the majority of places be ok with letting us in? Less than ten of us so won't be too rowdy hehe
The Fish 10971
Guessing you're a lass, and looking for a cheese-fest with cheap booze and a dance floor. You're not on a winner with this crowd... they're not much for the dancing, y'see
Ayatollah Hermione 14053
I'd avoid the Bigg Market, full of the scummier lot of Newcastle. Most places are fine with fancy dress as well so you'll be fine. As for places to go, there's plenty so it depends what you're after.

JawD 99
As said, avoid the Big Market. All night. Id even cross the road to walk past it. As for where, central station area would be my suggestion.

If you have more than 8 GCSE's between the 10 of you, head to the Quayside you still get nobheads, but it's more people who delude themselves in to thinking they're someones, it's much better. If you're just nice lasses, the bars along Collingwood Street and round the station are good. Guessing you're a lass, and looking for a cheese-fest with cheap booze and a dance floor. Holden McGroin 6785
The Quayside, the Biggie and (lets not forget) The Gate. All fucking gash with the odd exception. I suppose it depends on how old you are and what you want from a night. I used to love the Bigg Market when i was 17-20. Quayside after that. I left the toon before The Gate opened but i havent been that impressed with it on the odd occasion I have visited. These days. if I say "Its too loud to talk in here" then im in the wrong place!
