I hope there isn't going to be an avalanche of nit picking and whinning on here when he has a bad game. :jesuswept:

Just blame it on Barton if he plays bad, he's already got Smudger on speed dial, who no doubt will be holding his passport hostage with a lighter.

There will be. I wish most of these chumps realise when the likes of me and Alex were their age, we were delighted to sign Darren Bradshaw, and Wayne Fereday from QPR. We sign one of the great French hopes of their future football, and some have judged him as a shit version of Maradona. Makes me laugh. Had a conversation with a pal on Saturday along the lines of every year our support is eroded and it will to the point where only moaning wankers are left.

Having been starved of flair for a couple of seasons and having quite a few grafters in the team, I'd hope that people would be delighted to see a player of this ability.

I might actually buy the new toon blue top and get 37 SHIT MARADONA on the back. What a negative cunt that cunt is. He's the best signing this club hass made since Craig Bellamy, there ye are, I'll stick my neck on the line.

Wenger compared him to Maradona, and having watched them both play several times I can see the resemblance. However he's not on a par with Maradona, because Maradona was possibly the greatest player of all time. Hence my description as a shit version of Maradona which is still a damn good player; I think that is a fair description. I am not in any way moaning about him, I am thrilled that we have signed a player of his quality with this shite owner.

If you put shit anywhere its a negative. When Emre played for Inter he was a shit version of Maradona, this kid isn't shit anything.

Shit is regularly used as a positive in modern society. It was meant as a bit of humour anyway about a shit version of Maradona, sorry you had to get your knickers in a twist about that. If I thought he was such a crap signing why do you think I'm so worried about him integrating into the team? I've talked about his quality which is a lot better than the rest of our squad. If there's anyone who's negative it's you slagging off our fans, I'm purely concerned about the team succeeding in surviving this season whilst we're lumbered with this owner.

Agree with you, i think he's going to set this place alight with what he can do, we haven't seen anything like him in years. So what if he does have the odd quiet game, most if not all flair players do, and as for his attitude why bother worrying until we see any eveidnce of it happening here. If it does we'll hopefully deal with it well, but until he does cause us any bother why alrwady be having a go at him for it, lets see if he sorts himself out by finding the right club and fans for him here, which could easilyl happen.

Mind, he's nee Wayne Fereday like, fastest player in the game i think we were pretty much told back when he arrived!

Proper cup half full kind of chap you like, sniffer.

When you've followed Newcastle as long as me its difficult to tell how full the cup is until you actually see it. In this case on the field.

Remember we also signed the future of Portuguese football.

Viana was 19 and had barely played for Portugal when he came to us. Laurent Blanc is releasing statements on his management of the Ben Arfa situation.

I'm calling it as I remember it. I don't think I'm wrong.

Sniffs mate, take it from me there is no comparison. Bafra is simply the most gifted of the three musketeers at Clairfontayne: Benzema, Nasri and Bafra. It is like a dream to me that he will wear our shirt. I think it will only take 5 games for you to see what I mean.

Use the force Luke.

Not worked out exactly as expected for those 3 tbh. Still all more than young enough to go very far.

Benzema really needs to get out of Madrid, he looked completely shot of confidence when he came on as a sub against Mallorca the other night.

Mourinho coming in should have been a fresh start for him but their relationship is already being tested..

Aye, he was named Young European footballer of the year and was seen as the future for Portugal. I wasnt saying you were wrong, just that Ben Arfa is bit more advanced in his career than Viana was.

Ok obi wan, in view of that little gem of wisdom (source?) why didnt Wenger make a bid for him at any point in the last 4 years or so? :jesuswept:

and is it Bafra to his friends or is that just what he's been christened on't'internet?
