Geordieracer 0
My uncles funeral is this weekend and my old man mentioned that he was having a "humanist" send off. Never really knew much about them before but it seems they talk a lot of sense. http://www.humanism.org.uk/humanism
Guest alex
Been to a funeral before where the person wasn't religious so the family opted for a humanist service and I thought it was very appropriate. She thought religion was bullshit so why have any religious stuff at the funeral?

Same as my uncle - by the sounds of things it's basically going to be a large piss up to celebrate his life rather than being a sombre religious affair. Tom 14021
They are good or as good as anything involved in loss can really be. They also aren't Anti-Religious so they give people time to pray.
