snakehips 0
Talksport are reporting that Murray was glassed in the face in Newcastle last night when eating in a restaurant with Mick McCarthy. This is not a wind up.

Smooth Operator 10
As the old saying goes.........."They that doth own and manage Sunderland and dare to dine within the city walls of Newcastle upon Tyne will be glassed".
Gemmill 46027
Absolutely appalling. According to those on the SMB it was a Sunderland fan that did it - it would make sense really, the way things are at the minute, a Newcastle fan would be more likely to shake his hand (not meaning to sound flippant btw). Murray's wife was also injured by flying glass. I know their club is in a mess and they're rock bottom of the Premiership and that Murray has to take a lot of the blame for the way he runs the club, but no one deserves that. If it turns out to be one of our lot that did it then they're a fucking disgrace.

For this sort of thing to happen to anyone is bad enough but for it to happen in a restaurant, to a man of that age, is just mind-boggling. Wonder if Murray was at Stadium of Plight on saturday? This would give an indication of how seriously injured he was; hopefully his injuries are as minor as possible. Not sure if he attends S of P anymore though

I think that's just a ploy to make it look like the people who don't like the comment are making a mountain out of a molehill. If nobody complained, do you think he'd have said he was taking the piss? We can all have a laugh on here, but the notion of a human being (be it whoever) being glassed in the face is simply not funny!
