Yes. The team vs the USA looked like a McClaren's team, and played like it too.

 

I was incredulous that Heskey started. I recall someone saying Capello stated at the outset he wouldn't repeat his predecessors's mistakes, like picking out of form big name players, fielding unfit players and playing players out of position. Then doing all of those things at the WC when it really mattered. I thought that was bang on.

 

Let's hope he's learnt from his mistakes at the EC, eh.
