Geordieracer 0
http://uk.reuters.com/article/idUKTRE66C18020100713 With the recent discovery of vast mineral deposits I suspect not for a long time yet, but enough is enough. If they want to live in the dark ages under the Taliban so be it.

So they weren't being executed by the Taliban for something as trivial as playing western music? Edited July 13, 2010 by Geordieracer

So they weren't being deliberatly executed by the Taliban for something as trivial as playing western music? Why's that worse than being deliberatly executed by the US for no reason whatsoever, just going about your business at a funeral or a wedding or showing a Reuters photographer around? At least they could avoid western music and not worry about execution.

If they want to live in the dark ages under the Taliban so be it. we've talked about this in another thread - there is NO "recent discovery of vast mineral deposits" - all there is is a 4 year old US Geol Survey "resource Assessment" that says there could be a lot of minerals there - hardly news even then the Govt in Kabul chose to puff it to try and get more US $$$$$$
