Fode Mansare admits he is flattered by interest from Newcastle.

The Magpies are understood to be keen on taking the 28-year-old, who is looking to quit Toulouse.

Wolves tried to sign the Guinea international in January, but the move failed to materialise.

Now Newcastle are ready to make a move and reports suggest they are willing to pay £1.5million to secure his services.

"I am flattered to be linked to a move to the Premier League and Newcastle is a very big club who is back in the big time," Mansare told skysports.com.

"I want to be part of the story of African performers in the Premier League."

Reports are suggesting that Newcastle are ready to hand Mansare a four-year deal in a bid to lure him to Tyneside.

Seems a bit old tbh. I thought we were trying to sign young players. Oh well a new player is a new player and who knows.
