Rob W 0
Brilliant in the PL but not exactly top drawer in internationals as a scorer IMHO Bit like Andy Cole - class foreign sides seem to be able to mop him up......
Guest alex
He's different gravy to Andy Cole man.
manc-mag 1
Think it'll be less about his class telling and more about him being physically exhausted. Long season and flogged through an injury by Man U in their title push. Most of his opponents will be much fresher.
Andrew 4871
I think he'll manage at least one mind depends how capello sets up though

Holden McGroin 6785
Im not sure if this is a windup or not. International Caps 59 International Goals 25 Not bad ! Andy Cole couldnt lick his boots. Rooney is top drawer. World class.

Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Just don't think he's as good internationally as he looks in the PL It's funny that cos I don't think our Championship players will look as good in the prem. Why do you think that might be?
sweetleftpeg 0
Might have a lot to do with the way we seem to muddle together a midfield in the last few years in order to cater for both Gerrard and Lampard, doesn't exactly help the forwards. BigAl 0
Messi and Ronaldo are far better for their club sides than their national sides. I think this world cup has some genuine world class players Rooney being one of them, having said that the true greats do the business at the World cups so we will have to wait and see which one grabs the tournament by the short and curlies! Happy Face 29
Rooney will be to 2010 as Maradonna was to 1986. [/Parkyesque hopeful speculation]

tinofbeans 91
on form throughout the season he's been the 3rd/4th best player in the world in my opinion. he's probably played too many games though. may well be knackered from a 50+ game season. considering his scoring record, thats not bad for someone who's realistic best position is split striker or 2nd forward. nearly a 1 in 2 rate.
