I don't know I think he might be an option for them. Lennon is a tink though.

Probably more down to him saying he would look at any better jobs. :D

Staying at Forest according to the Sun....

DAVIES STICKING WITH FOREST

Billy Davies is sticking with Nottingham Forest after receiving the assurances he was seeking from the club's board.

The Scot, who guided the Reds into the Championship play-offs in 2009/10, met with owner Nigel Doughty on Thursday to discuss his future.

Recent reports have suggested that SPL giants Celtic are keen on taking the former Derby and Preston boss back to Scotland, and Davies had done little to curb the speculation.

He was left disappointed by an apparent lack of backing in the January transfer window, something he felt Forest needed in order to mount a successful promotion push.

He does, however, appear to have relaxed his stance, with Doughty vowing to do all he can to help Forest achieve their target of climbing back into the Premier League.

"Billy has done a marvellous job and he's here for the long-term," said the Reds supremo.

"We've asked him to build a club and he's going to take on that challenge.

"We have a young, talented squad that's only going to get batter."

Davies has been in charge at the City Ground since January 2009 when he was brought in to replace Colin Calderwood.

harsh on him if he does get the boot. he did well there. did their board really expect them to go up this year?

Probably nothing to do with the lack of promotion and more to do with the fact he's a twat.

It would be a crazy move to sack him. He's turned them into a team that nearly went up after a long spell bumming around like Sheffield Wednesday. Who'd come in? Mickey Adams? Chris Coleman? Those names would be a backward step.

he's a silly sod if he does offer up the theory that he can turn a club around. he's one of those coaches thats competent at championship level, but wouldn't make it in the premier league. remember his time at derby.... got them promoted then got the push for not being good enough....
