I can see the Tyne. Unfortunately, I can also smell it.

 I work at Scottish Life House, so unfortunately all I can smell is the rancid odor of Mrs Ali's curried minge.

Not bad, beginning to enjoy the new job. Office has a view which is thus: to my left, the lake and the alps, to my right the Jura. Couldnt be arsed to live here but the scenery is canny.

Can't beat a bit of class scenery.

Can't beat a bit of aspirational middle class scenery.

Im a tad annoyed.

One of my training partners is getting snide comments at work and its put him on a downer.

He lost his father last year to cancer, but was a ripe old age of 90 (I wrote on here one day I think). Anyways, my mate looked after him for 2 years and the end of his life. He basically left work to look after the old guy.

Anyways, he doesnt have a mortgage as he lives in his old mans old house and has a lot to do on the house to tidy it up. Anyways, he is in a fortunate position where he can afford to work a 4 day week.

The guys in his office are giving snide underhanded comments about it. Now, the guys in his office dont seem to manage or budget their money and its their own fucking fault they're skint come the end of the month and cant afford a Costa or something. Fucking wankers. Its got fuck all to do with them so why be cocks about it?

Just been to the beach with the bairn and it's glorious. Sunshine always puts me in a good mood :)

Had the dog out just before and the sun was beaming. I was loving it! :)

I work on 23rd floor of an office tower on the Auckland waterfront. My view is Auckland harbour bridge, Waitemata harbour, the harbourfront and marinas and some of the city. Also canny.

Well done to everyone with new jobs. I'm also starting a new job in April after 5 years with my current employer. Looking forward to it.

Tell your mate to man up and give as good as he gets. I'm on a phased return to work at the minute and have had the odd snidey comment and I just take the piss back. Tell your mate to tell them not to work too hard while he's away, and comment on how desperate it must be to only get a long weekend a few times a year.

Fabulous mood :)

Sitting here like the Lord of the manor at Maften Hall, in the conservatory overlooking the lake and Golf course while sipping a Kronnenburg.

Started the day with a stroll around Hexham, some lunch, a cream tea in the drawing room followed by a Sauna, steam bath, jaccuzi and swim.......

All kid free!

Table booked in the library for seven and then a few night caps on the terrace looking at the stars and my lovely mrs.

How the other half live!

Could get used to this

Love the fact that you spent a night there and still keep referring to it as Maften, you flid.

Pissed off. Radiohead are playing Auckland - one night only - in November, tickets sold out in 19 minutes whilst I was sitting in a crappy course. Grrrrrrrr.

Bit low at the moment tbh. Nothing too bad, but I'm at that point in my life (not long been 25) where I'm content but unfulfilled with where my life is at and heading. My job offers little progression (and there's only a few of us so socially it doesn't offer much), I don't have a career mapped out (I'm not a particularly driven person), and I find the area I live in to be dull and a little isolated which all in all feeds into my life just feeling really sort of slow and stagnant at the moment. I do alright for myself, don't get me wrong. I've been a lot worse.

Feeling comfortable but not settled. And also lacking excitement, for want of a better word. My social life has definitely seen better days, and that gets me down as much as my lack of a proper career. Just feels like I'm wasting some good months and years of my life to an extent.

Not sure why I'm breaking a habit here by getting a little personal. Just felt like typing my feelings up.

In your situation it maybe an idea to join something be that a gym, golf club, diet club, get a season ticket.......

Do something that throws you out of your comfort zone and into situation where you will meet new people. You never know where that will take you.

Some children are born in poverty without any bones, a result of malnutrition. They'll be lucky to see out a few years on this planet and will be in constant pain while they're here. Just a gentle hint, stop the moaning.

Not your best effort tbh.

And I totally agree with you there CT, but on the other hand I don't want to jump into something for the sake of it.
